Blair: I'll bring the euro to Britain

TONY Blair signalled that next week's 'not yet' 決定／判定勝ち（する） on euro 会員の地位 is 純粋に 一時的な and that he ーするつもりであるs to take Britain into the 選び出す／独身 通貨 before he leaves 負かす／撃墜するing Street.

In his most candid 発言／述べるs on the euro so far, the 総理大臣 said at the 週末 that he relished the 来たるべき 戦う／戦い to swing a 懐疑的な public behind the 選び出す／独身 通貨.

Just as he did with Iraq, the 総理大臣 said, he was ready to 支持する／優勝者 an 人気がない 原因（となる） that he believes is 権利.

And he made it （疑いを）晴らす that when （ドイツなどの）首相／（大学の）学長 Gordon Brown 配達するs his 推定する／予想するd 消極的な 査定／評価 of the five 経済的な 実験（する）s a week from today, the euro 問題／発行する will remain alive.

While the 総理大臣 個人として 譲歩するs it is ありそうもない a euro 国民投票 will be held before a General 選挙 推定する／予想するd in 2005, he wants one soon after that.

That means he is 決定するd to lead 労働 into a third General 選挙 to 安全な・保証する his prize of getting Britain into the eurozone - once again dashing the leadership ambitions of his （ドイツなどの）首相／（大学の）学長.

Interviewed on Sky News, Blair 拒絶するd the idea a 国民投票 on the euro was unwinnable because of public 対立.

'You can't be sure about that at all,' he said. 'It's going to be a big 戦う／戦い, there's no 疑問 about that...but I look 今後 to it.

'This is a 根底となる question for this country. Do we want to be a part of the main 戦略の 同盟 権利 on our doorstep, Europe? Do we really want to be partners, play our 十分な part in it, or do we want to be marginalised and left without 影響（力）?'

He said that Britain 直面するd a 'big choice' and he に例えるd it to his approach on Iraq where 'I was 用意が出来ている to go out and 明言する／公表する what I believed in, and argue'.

'If we decide, as we have for half a century, that we are just going to hang 支援する in Europe, not 参加する fully, I think it would be a shame,' he said. 'It would 減ずる the prospects of British 繁栄 and 影響（力）.'

The 総理大臣 also 示すd that he sees 即位 of ten new EU members next year as a golden 適切な時期.

When there are arguments in Europe, Blair went on, Britain shouldn't say 'we had better take our bat home, we should be in there, out on the pitch'.

And he was 確信して the British people would 注意する his message. 'They're a lot smarter and they are willing to engage in argument in a much more 深い way than people いつかs think,' he said.
