BAE makes fresh 嘆願 for costs 援助（する）

HUMBLED defence 巨大（な） BAE Systems is again asking the 政府 to help cover cost 侵略（する）／超過（する）s on British 武器s 事業／計画（する）s. But it played 負かす／撃墜する a 報告（する）／憶測 that it would use the Eurofighter jet programme as a 取引ing 道具.

Last week BAE was turned 負かす／撃墜する when it asked the 政府 to 選ぶ up the tab for 延期するs on 潜水艦 and 航空機 事業／計画（する）s.

The 財政上の Times 報告（する）／憶測d that BAE might 申し込む／申し出 to h elp Britain to alter the 生産／産物 schedule on Eurofighter 台風 戦闘 jets if it were helped to cover costs on the 延滞の 事業／計画（する）s.

BAE is part of the pan-European 国際借款団／連合 that builds the jets. The company said: 'BAE is in no sense trying to put 圧力 on the 省 of Defence through any 選び出す／独身 programme. We 単に want to get 支援する to the 交渉するing （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する...there will always be a question of helping on both 味方するs.'

The MoD 拒絶する／低下するd to comment. It was talking to BAE about the Astute and Nimrod 契約s but only about changes that 申し込む／申し出d value for money to taxpayers.

BAE saw £1bn wiped off its 株 price on Wednesday when it 警告するd of 延期するs to programmes for Astute Class 核の 潜水艦s and Nimrod 軍用機s.
