BANKS and building societies want in on the 解決/入植地 of 運転者s' 保険 (人命などを)奪う,主張するs, and say that 保険会社s make drivers wait much longer than they should to get paid.

運転者s have to wait between two and three months for a (人命などを)奪う,主張する to be settled, and more than one in 10 are not paid within six months, said the 銀行業者s 自動化するd (疑いを)晴らすing Service (BACS), which is owned by the banks and building societies.

The 普通の/平均(する) wait for a moto r (人命などを)奪う,主張する 解決/入植地 is 10.6 weeks against six weeks for home contents 保険, によれば BACS 研究 目的(とする)d at 圧力ing 保険会社s into 支払う/賃金ing straight into the claimant's bank rather than by cheque.

より小数の than one in 10 モーター (人命などを)奪う,主張するs is paid straight into a bank although use of BACS, it is (人命などを)奪う,主張するd, could 削減(する) as much as one working week off the 運転者's wait, 概略で the time it takes between raising a cheque, 調印, mailing, 配達するing it and the 顧客 banking it.

'There could be about half a million 運転者s out there waiting more than six months for over £780m 価値(がある) of (人命などを)奪う,主張するs to be settled,' said BACS, which 拒絶する/低下するd to divulge which 保険会社s 支払う/賃金 electronically. With モーター 賞与金s creeping up, 保険会社s could 申し込む/申し出 greater 速度(を上げる) of (人命などを)奪う,主張するs 解決/入植地 as a 推論する/理由 to do 商売/仕事 with them rather than a 競争相手, BACS 追加するd.

BACS is 押し進めるing its Direct Credit system, whereby organisations can make 支払い(額)s into a 明示するd bank or building society. Banks and building societies say モーター 保険会社s should be as ready to 支払う/賃金 out through Direct Credit into 顧客s' accounts as they are to 支払う/賃金 themselves through BACS's Direct Debit 手はず/準備 with those same accounts.

BACS's public position is that 保険会社s do not hang on to the policyholder's money as long as possible because the 保険会社 would rather have the cash in its bank than in the 顧客. It is just that 保険会社s give 優先 to 調査/捜査するing (人命などを)奪う,主張するs rather than to 支払う/賃金ing the money, and so are slow to bring in IT systems 有能な of Direct Credit 支払い(額)s. Yet 90% of salary cheques, 含むing those of モーター 保険 company 従業員s 同様に as those of their companies' 顧客s, are already paid by BACS's Direct Credit.

The 協会 of British 保険会社s argues that 'not everyone would like to be paid electronically'. BACS 反対するd that its 研究 示唆するs that nearly two-thirds of モーター 保険 claimants would be happy to be paid by Direct Credit.
