ICI has been trying for two years to sell the bu sinesses to 減ずる group 負債s of about £4 billion. But its 計画（する）s have been 繰り返して 妨害するd by regulators over monopoly 関心s.

It is believed several 可能性のある 買い手s are 主張するing that ICI agrees to shoulder 環境の 義務／負債s that may arise after a 取引，協定.

An ICI (n)役員／(a)執行力のある said: 'Environ-mental 義務／負債s will have to be part of any 協定. There is no point in us 存在 left with large residual 義務／負債s in the 商売／仕事s we want to sell.'

Peter Blair, an 分析家 at 投資 bank Salomon Smith Barney, said: 'Some of the ICI 場所／位置s have been used for 100 years and it is difficult for 買い手s to know how 汚染するd they might be. It would not be surprising if 可能性のある 買い手s were 持つ／拘留するing out for 保証（人）s from ICI.'
