(麻薬)常用者d to 賭事ing with credit
?
After wasting billions of 続けざまに猛撃するs on bad lending, you might have thought banks would have 伸び(る)d a more responsible 態度.
You would be wrong - at least in the 事例/患者 of Lloyds TSB.
Lloyds has been sending out helpful letters to new credit card 顧客s. One was received by a Money Mail reader 老年の 22, on a salary of £12,000 a year.
After 知らせるing him of his £1,000 credit 限界, it went on to advise helpfully: 'You can use up to 50% of this 限界 for cash 撤退s and cash-関係のある 処理/取引s such as 賭事ing, the 購入(する) of foreign 通貨, money orders and gaming 半導体素子s.'
If he had been foolish enough to take this advice, he would have been 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金d a 3% cash 撤退 料金 加える 利益/興味 of around 25% from the moment he made the 撤退.
Not surprisingly, 政治家,政治屋s and 負債 助言者s are lining up to criticise the 失敗ing bank which, itself, has apologised and 約束d to 取って代わる the letter with something more appropriate.
What is not (疑いを)晴らす is how such a letter (機の)カム to be produced in the first place.
What, 正確に, were Lloyds' 同意/服従 specialists thinking of in 許すing such a letter to be 地位,任命するd out to new 顧客s? Did 上級の 管理/経営 see this letter and, if so, who 調印するd it off?
When billions of 続けざまに猛撃するs of our money is 存在 spent 保釈(金)ing out banks we, as taxpayers, have a 権利 to 推定する/予想する better.
I do not go as far as to say 長,率いるs should roll, but I do believe that backsides should be 堅固に kicked.
? So, you were sensible enough to take out 保険 to 保護する your mortgage in 事例/患者 you lost your 職業 or became too sick to work. 井戸/弁護士席, have we got news for you!
As soon as the going gets 堅い, the 保険 companies are lining up to raise their 賞与金s.
They were happy enough to insure you in the good years when it was 高度に ありそうもない that you would be made redundant.
But now the 経済的な 気候 has turned downwards, they are suddenly not so keen.
This encapsulates the basic 原則 of 保険 today. 保険会社s rake in the 賞与金s when there is no 危険. But as soon as a slight 危険 appears, they try to 阻止する you from 新たにするing by raising the 賞与金s 大幅に, and 辞退する to take on new 顧客s.
We have seen this with buildings 保険 where anyone who makes a subsidence (人命などを)奪う,主張する suddenly discovers they cannot get 保険 どこかよそで and their 存在するing 保険会社 can 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金 them wh at they like. This, にもかかわらず the fact that their building is now more sound than it was 最初.
The same 原則 has been used on 医療の 保険, travel 保険 and car 保険. Of course 保険会社s have to 査定する/(税金などを)課す 危険, but it seems that as far as they are 関心d, 危険 operates in only one direction.
? Banks and building societies have discovered a brand-new way to hoodwink savers desperate to get the most 利益/興味 from their money.
This time the marketing bods have come up with the variable 特別手当. This 許すs them to award a 最高の,を越す-level 特別手当 to a 貯金 account and then to 削減(する) it at a later date without even having to tell their savers.
It is yet another 試みる/企てる to circumnavigate the Banking Code - a 始める,決める of self-課すd 支配するs 治める/統治するing how they are supposed to 扱う/治療する their 顧客s.
The code says that if they move more than half a 百分率 point out of line with Bank of England base 率 over a 12-month period, then they have to 令状 to 知らせる their 顧客s.
But a variable 率 特別手当 will 許す them to make far greater 削減(する)s without telling 顧客s. This practice must be banned by the Banking Code 基準s Board without 延期する.
This cannot, in any way, be in line with the 財政上の Services 当局's 支配するs that 会社/堅いs must 扱う/治療する their 顧客s 公正に/かなり. It is without 疑問 the most 露骨な/あからさまの example, recently, of them 扱う/治療するing their 顧客s deviously.
