More than a third of 労働者s on 最小限 行う can't afford to shop where they work as gap between 給料 and インフレーション rises

‘Five million UK 労働者s earn いっそう少なく than a living 行う, consigned to an insecure income and ますます shut out of the economy. Many of these 労働者s are 雇うd in the shops and services that 居住させる our high streets, yet they cannot afford to shop where they work.’

‘The crying shame is that low 行う work in this country is no longer the first rung on the 雇用 ladder but 現実に the first step into a poverty 支払う／賃金 罠（にかける）. People with the 技術s for better-paid work are not escaping into it because there are no decent 職業s around,’ Turner said.

‘Big 商売／仕事 in Britain should hang its 長，率いる in shame. Our major retailers, restaurant chains and hotels could 井戸／弁護士席 afford to raise 給料, and with it the living 基準s of the communities they depend on for their 利益（をあげる）s.

‘The message from this 投票 to 政府 is （疑いを）晴らす, too. These 労働者s are looking to you to 行為／法令／行動する because too few boardrooms do. The 最小限 行う must be the living 行う.’

The 投票 comes as a year-long 熟考する／考慮する by th e Living 行う （売買）手数料，委託（する）／委員会／権限 recently 設立する that in the last year alone the number of people living below the Living 行う had risen by 400,000.

妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 and restaurant staff, cleaners, 小売 sales assistants and hairdressers were amongst the most 貧しく paid people in the UK, the 熟考する／考慮する said.
