主要都市の Police Commissioner Sir John Stevens today said he had received 前例のない public support for his 批評s of the 犯罪の 司法(官) system.

In a speech earlier this week, Sir John complained that the system was failing to look after the 利益/興味s of 犠牲者s and 証言,証人/目撃するs and 許すing repeat violent 違反者/犯罪者s 支援する on to the streets too easily.

But today Sir John defended his comments, 説 they had struck a chord with the public.

'There is a reality here that there needs to be a change, and I think most people 受託する that,' Sir John told BBC 無線で通信する 4's Today programme.
