EXCLUSIVE: Now hear MY story: Noel Clarke's career imploded after more than 20 women (刑事)被告 him of sex offences but police have yet to bring any 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s...Is he one more 犠牲者 of 取り消す culture ? or a predator who just got what he deserved?

Noel Clarke's twin Bafta statuettes sit on the bookshelves of his West London home.?

Once they 代表するd the pinnacle of his 業績/成就 as an actor, writer, 生産者 and director. Today the bronze 直面するs 星/主役にする blankly out over a career that lies in tatters.

Until a year ago Clarke was part of the British film and TV 設立. He could be seen on 審査する in the BBC's Doctor Who and 最高の,を越す-率d police 演劇s on ITV and Sky.?

He'd traced his roots in an episode of Who Do You Think You Are? and written and starred in the acclaimed Hood Trilogy of 青年 culture films, directing two of them.

Today he is a pariah after a string of 高度に 損失ing 主張s led to the British 学院 of Film and Television Arts 一時停止するing his 会員の地位, and 身を引くing his 2021 Bafta award for 優れた 出資/貢献 to British cinema just nine days after he was 手渡すd the coveted gong.

Noel?Clarke, who grew up in a tough and impoverished part of West London, vehemently denies the claims. He has not, he says, been granted the presumption of innocence, let alone a fair hearing. 'Twenty years of work was gone in 24 hours,' he says, speaking for the first time about the allegations that destroyed his career

まっただ中に an 驚くべき/特命の/臨時の public 落ちる from grace, Clarke's TV 警官,(賞などを)獲得する show Bulletproof was canned by Sky, even though a fourth series was 心配するd. ITV pulled the finale of his big-予算 thriller Viewpoint on the eve of broadcast, 地位,任命するing it 簡潔に on its streaming service ITV 中心. It goes without 説 that all Clarke's 招待s to the VIP world beyond the velvet 非常線,警戒線s of showbusiness have been lost in the 地位,任命する. Many 産業 同盟(する)s have fled, terrified of 不名誉 by 協会.

Clarke, 46, a married father-of-four, is (刑事)被告 of 存在 a 性の predator and a いじめ(る). 主張s ? made by more than 20 women and spanning a 15-year period ? 含む (人命などを)奪う,主張するs of unwanted touching or groping, sexually 不適切な behaviour and comments on 始める,決める, the covert filming of a naked audition and the 株ing of explicit pictures without 同意.

'Twenty years of work was gone in 24 hours,' he says, speaking for the first time about the 主張s that destroyed his career.?

'I lost everything. The company I built from the ground up, my TV shows, my movies, my 調書をとる/予約する 取引,協定s, the 産業 尊敬(する)・点 I had. In my heart and my 長,率いる it has 損失d me in a way I cannot articulate.'

In the past year, Clarke and his wife Iris, who have been together for two 10年間s, have had a new baby they 港/避難所't dared tell anyone about. Financially the family has been left 'running on ガス/煙s'. Most 本気で, at his lowest, Clarke was suicidal. He pocketed a 倍のing 追跡(する)ing knife bought as a souvenir while filming Auf Wiedersehen, Pet in Arizona 20 years ago and planned to 削減(する) his own throat.

Until a year ago Clarke was part of the British film and TV establishment. He could be seen on screen in the BBC’s Doctor Who and top-rated police dramas on ITV and Sky. He is pictured with Billie Piper in Doctor Who

'I needed to do something unsurvivable,' he says today. 'I was reaching for a 調書をとる/予約する and the knife fell out of my pocket. My 11-year-old said, 'Daddy, why have you got that?'

'I said, 'It's just to 選ぶ the dirt out of my nails…' And he said, 'Oh, 承認する,' and somehow the ordinariness of that snapped me out of it. Up to that point, I had been waiting for the 権利 moment to kill myself. I was out of here. Done. I didn't care about anything. My mind was destroyed.'

Clarke is not the 支配する of a 犯罪の 調査. After ten months of 査定/評価 by specialist 探偵,刑事s with the 主要都市の Police, 非,不,無 of the 主張s made against him has been 設立する to 会合,会う the threshold for その上の police 調査.

'There has been no 逮捕(する), no 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s, no 裁判,公判, no 判決 but I have been criminalised,' he says, pointing to the 急ぐ to judgment 加速するd by social マスコミ. 'This is a form of modern McCarthyism.

'If we don't need police and 裁判官s and 陪審/陪審員団s any more, if we only need social マスコミ and the 放送者s, then what world do we live in?' Clarke asks. 'At what point did the 放送者s in this country become the 裁判官s, 陪審/陪審員団s and executioners of people? At what point did Bafta decide they were no longer about films, but they were about 裁判官ing people's lives? This is not about me, it's bigger, it's about 予定 過程. Yes, people have said these things about me ? but if I say you're a donkey, it doesn't make you a donkey, does it?'

Powell also claimed that Clarke secretly filmed a naked audition by the actress Jahannah James, pictured, and then showed Powell the video. Clarke claims he wanted to ensure Ms James would be comfortable in a role that required nudity, but now regrets organising a naked audition. He vehemently denies that it was filmed, adding: ‘I never showed Gina a video of Jahannah James naked, because I never had one'

Powell also (人命などを)奪う,主張するd that Clarke 内密に filmed a naked audition by the actress Jahannah James, pictured, and then showed Powell the ビデオ. He 熱心に 否定するs that it was filmed, 追加するing: 'I never showed Gina a ビデオ of Jahannah James naked, because I never had one'

He is speaking about the events of March and April last year when an 匿名の/不明の dossier was sent to Bafta すぐに after the 告示 that he was to be honoured with the 優れた 出資/貢献 award at a 儀式 at the 王室の Albert Hall. Weeks later, The 後見人 newspaper published 多重の accounts of 申し立てられた/疑わしい egregious behaviour by Clarke between 2004 and 2019. Ten of the women agreed to be 指名するd, 含むing Gina Powell, who worked for Clarke as a 生産者 between 2014 and 2017.

She (人命などを)奪う,主張するd he 絶えず 悩ますd her, and that during a work trip to Los Angeles in August 2015 he exposed himself in the car they were travelling in and that he later groped her in a 解除する, telling her he had got 'what he was 借りがあるd'. Clarke categorically 否定するs her (人命などを)奪う,主張するs, 説: 'I never 悩ますd Gina. I never groped Gina in 2015 in LA or showed her my penis in a car.'

Powell also (人命などを)奪う,主張するd that Clarke 内密に filmed a naked audition by the actress Jahannah James, and then showed Powell the ビデオ.

His account was supported by the only other person who 証言,証人/目撃するd the audition. A casting director told The 後見人 there was '絶対 no way' Clarke would have covertly filmed the actress.

Clarke is now 告訴するing Bafta, on whose 影響力のある film 委員会 he sat for seven years, and The 後見人 for defamation. He is also 告訴するing magazine publisher Conde Nast, which ran a piece about the 論争 in its glossy men's 月毎の GQ.

His caree r has been cancelled, he (人命などを)奪う,主張するs. He spends his days at home caring for his new baby, on the touchline when his older children play football, going to church on Sundays and …に出席するing therapy. He has been so traumatised he hasn't been able to watch TV for a year because he only sees people who have turned their 支援するs on him.

He agreed to speak to The Mail on Sunday because there has been no day in 法廷,裁判所, no 会議 in which to 公然と defend himself. He wants the film and TV 産業 to create a 枠組み where 'women and 攻撃を受けやすい people are 保護するd but which also 保護するs people who may be thrown under the bus 不正に'.

Clarke makes a 嘆願 for the 状況 of 出来事/事件s and conversations to be considered and for women to 'differentiate between an evil guy and someone who might have made a mis-step'.

He also believes the entertainment 産業 needs to clean out its Augean stables in a 静める and 合理的な/理性的な manner, 説: 'I am not trying to excuse evil men. But I think we are all here' ? he means at this 行き詰まり ? 'because of them.

'I'm not a predator. I have crossed the road to 避ける walking behind women since I was 15 years old.'

He 認めるs that not all of his past behaviour has been beyond reproach, 特に when events of almost two 10年間s ago are 裁判官d by the 基準s of today.

'I've been a 正規の/正選手 dude, for sure, I flirt. Have I ever made a saucy comment? One hundred per cent. But not to the extent that it 令状d the 破壊 of my life.

'I can't say I never talked about sex at work. We're adults in a workplace and people make jokes and have conversations with each other that cross the line. いつかs you're with each other for six, seven months, away from home.

'I think いつかs these are just normal, or わずかに 不適切な, conversations that people have. I was never 伴う/関わるd in any conversation that I didn't believe was 相互の, wasn't 存在 報いるd. Maybe I should have known better. But you know what, I didn't always know better.'

Asked if he 悔いるs this and wishes he had been more circumspect, he says again: '100 per cent.' 類似して, he 譲歩するs that he may have いつかs been 'over-tactile' but says he has never groped or tried to kiss a woman who 'didn't want to be kisse d'.

His accusers 同意しない and 主張する 性の いやがらせ. Norwegian film 生産者 Synne Seltveit (人命などを)奪う,主張するs that Clarke slapped her buttocks during a night out in Glasgow in 2015 and then later sent her an explicit picture 経由で Snapchat.

On her first 主張, Clarke 答える/応じるs with a (疑いを)晴らす 否定: 'I never slapped her 底(に届く) and would never have done that.'

But his 返答 to her second 主張 is いっそう少なく 限定された. He (人命などを)奪う,主張するd that they, along with others, engaged in 'banter' about sex that evening, and says: 'I don't 解任する sending anything. But if I did, it was in the 状況 of the conversation that we all had. I now know that what I regarded as banter is far from appropriate ? and it has taken this experience to understand that.'

Several of the women (刑事)被告 Clarke of 存在 a いじめ(る). They 含む Philippa Crabb, a 走者 on the film Brotherhood who drove Clarke to work. She (人命などを)奪う,主張するd he 叫び声をあげるd at her for arriving late. Another woman, a 23-year-old script 監督者, 申し立てられた/疑わしい that Clarke's behaviour led to her having a panic attack on 始める,決める.

Clarke says he was annoyed with Crabb but did not yell at her and he 否定するs いじめ(る)ing the script 監督者 or anyone else. But he 収容する/認めるs he could be 'too blunt' and 'too direct' and some people may have 設立する this 脅迫してさせるing.

'Look, if somebody's done something bad, if you have 強襲,強姦d someone, then you should be dragged up on it. That's an 絶対の. But I think 裁判官ing people by today's 基準s on things from years ago, it's baffling because we all grow and change. I was not the person in 2004 that I am now.'

支援する in 2004, Clarke was young and hungry, breaking into the 産業 without any of the 私的な school and Oxbridge 特権 of his 同時代のs, actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston and Eddie Redmayne.

Told he wouldn't make it because he had no 行う/開催する/段階 experience, he bagged a 役割 at the 王室の 法廷,裁判所 Theatre which earned him an Olivier award for Most 約束ing performer in 2003. 'All I knew was hustle,' he says.

He rose to acclaim with his 2006 film Kidulthood, a 残虐な look at the lives of 十代の少年少女s in the area around Notting Hill's Grenfell Tower where he grew up, i n a 会議 flat, with a 選び出す/独身 mother. She was a paediatric nurse who worked 転換s, making him a latchkey kid at the age of six. The television was his babysitter and has transfixed him ever since.

Of his 堅い teenage years, he says: 'If your best friend said 'I like your trainers', it didn't mean he liked your trainers, it meant he 手配中の,お尋ね者 them. And you had to work out how to keep them.'

Clarke 解任するs going to an audition when he was an unknown. 'I heard them talking as I was waiting for the 解除する. One person said, 'Oh, my God, he's a bit 激しい. I don't think I'd ever watch anything he was in.' My mindset was if you're not going to watch anything that I'm a part of, then you'd better not buy a television, because I'm going to be a part of everything.'

That's where he was in 2021 when he won his second Bafta, although by the time he walked on to the 学院's 行う/開催する/段階 in his dinner 控訴 to 受託する the 優れた 出資/貢献 award, he already knew of the 主張s levelled against him.

It was his スパイ/執行官 who had 警報d him to the dossier sent to the 学院. 'I'm paraphrasing, but I was told that 概して it said, 'You've been doing all these things for your whole career, and they're coming for you.' All I could think was Noel, who have you annoyed that much?'

Bafta 確認するd: 'In the days に引き続いて the 告示 [of his award], Bafta received 主張s in relation to Noel Clarke. These were either 匿名の/不明の or second- or third-手渡す accounts 経由で intermediaries. No first-手渡す 主張s were sent to us. No 指名するs, times, dates, 生産/産物s or other 詳細(に述べる)s were ever 供給するd.'

It went ahead with the 贈呈 last April because, it said, 'no 事柄 how abhorrent these 主張s are, they cannot be dealt with without 予定 過程. Bafta is an arts charity that is not in a position to 適切に 調査/捜査する such 事柄s'.

Whoever was behind the '暗殺', as Clarke 言及するs to it, then emailed the TV companies he worked for. And 匿名の/不明の requests for (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) were sent, unsolicited, to women who might know him, 説: 'We are working with and led by 生存者s of Noel Clarke. The number is very high…'

The emails 勧めるd women who considered themselves to have been his 犠牲者s to 接触する The 後見人, the newspaper whose 調査 put the 主張s into the public domain.

At home, Iris, who was 妊娠している, asked Clarke 完全な if he had ever 強姦d or 強襲,強姦d a woman. 'I told her, 'No. Never.' '

Iris will not speak 公然と to 保存する some 痕跡s of normal family life, but in 私的な she is feisty, loving and very, very angry at what's happened to her husband.

Now Clarke sees only a long struggle to come 支援する from what he (人命などを)奪う,主張するs is his 取り消し by Bafta and the TV companies.

'非,不,無 of them wants to be wrong. They made such big, bold 声明s. Then there's the 現在の 気候, the moment anyone speaks out, or even says, '持つ/拘留する on a second, what's the 状況?', society turns on them too.'

He thinks he knows who started it all, and why. 'I wouldn't even say it was a (選挙などの)運動をする or a 共謀, I think it's a lot of people who were sent emails and WhatsApp messages and were told this guy ? me ? has done these vile things and asked, 'Has he ever done that to you?'

'And a lot of people said, 'No, but he did shout at me one time.' Or, 'No, but he did say my butt was nice.' Then for me, you know, it was death by 1,000 削減(する)s.'

The Bafta statuettes which Clarke can't bring himself to put away in a cupboard are based on the tragicomic masks of 古代の Greek theatre. So far, his story has had a prologue and its main 行為/法令/行動する pla yed out. But the final scene is still 存在 written.
