MAIL COMMENT: Mr Osborne and an inconvenient truth

In the febrile atmosphere of the Westminster village, there was 憶測 all 週末 that 影をつくる/尾行する (ドイツなどの)首相/(大学の)学長 George Osborne’s 職業 could be at 危険.

His 罪,犯罪? To have 示唆するd in a newspaper interview what many astute commentators have been 説 for weeks, that if the 政府 continues to borrow billions to 基金 spending splurges and 税金 削減(する)s, the value of 英貨の/純銀の may 崩壊(する).

True, he has had a difficult few weeks.

George Osborne

職業 at 危険? George Osborne was criticised for 示唆するing 英貨の/純銀の may 崩壊(する)

It was poor judgment to board the ヨット of 議論の的になる ロシアの oligarch Oleg Deripaska.

He then 構内/化合物d the error by 試みる/企てるing to tell tales about a fellow 訪問者 to the 億万長者’s Corfu ヨット, the arch spinmaster Peter Mandelson.

Such naivety was a gift to 労働 and to those Tories who are uneasy with the modernising 協議事項 of David Cameron and Mr Osborne, and would prefer David Davis or William Hague in the 財務省 簡潔な/要約する.

But, in 警告 against the ramping ever higher of our 国家の 負債, Mr Osborne has surely done no wrong.

As he said yesterday, ‘I am telling the public the truth and that is the 職業 of elected 政治家,政治屋s’.

Of course Gordon Brown is desperate to の近くに 負かす/撃墜する any 審議 over how 労働 landed Britain in such a 壊滅的な 財政上の mess, or examination of the 計画(する) to spend his way out of trouble.

Yet the 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s levelled against Mr Osborne by Mr Brown’s attack dogs do not 耐える scrutiny.

It 侮辱s the 知能 to 示唆する Mr Osborne’s 介入 could 誘発する a ‘run on the 続けざまに猛撃する’, given its value is already 負かす/撃墜する 30 per cent in 最近の months.

If there is, as Labou r (人命などを)奪う,主張するs, a 条約 that 上級の 政治家,政治屋s don’t raise 恐れるs about the health of our 通貨 the last Tory (ドイツなどの)首相/(大学の)学長 Kenneth Clarke made (疑いを)晴らす yesterday he’d never heard of it.

And let’s not forget that Alistair Darling recently used a newspaper interview to 述べる the 財政上の 危機 as the worst in 60 years.

No, the facts, however painful to the 政府’s 選挙(人)の prospects, must be 空気/公表するd.

一方/合間, Mr Osborne’s 見解(をとる) that Britain is one of the worst 用意が出来ている economies in the world for 後退,不況 is 株d by the 学校/設ける for 会計の 熟考する/考慮するs.

For Mr Brown, it may be an 選挙(人)の necessity to carry on spending money he does not have.

Yesterday, 激しい hints were dropped of pre-Christmas 税金 削減(する)s for lowincome families 価値(がある) up to £30billion, 基金d by yet more borrowing.

But, as Mr Osborne points out, the 法案 will have to be paid 結局, 経由で big 税金 rises. With all our 未来s at 火刑/賭ける, this is hardly a time to silence 審議.

More than three years have passed since a string of 墓/厳粛/彫る/重大な 失敗s 許すd the 罪人/有罪を宣告するd rapist Anthony Rice to savagely 殺人 young mother Naomi Bryant.

At the time, there was 乱暴/暴力を加える that Naomi had been so 不正に failed by the 機関s paid to 保護する the public from 犯罪のs leaving 刑務所,拘置所.

That Rice used the Human 権利s 行為/法令/行動する to 安全な・保証する his 解放(する) only made 事柄s worse.

But, にもかかわらず much 公式の/役人 handwringing, nothing has changed, and 犯罪のs on 保護監察 still commit a 殺人 every week.

Now, by 安全な・保証するing a 目印 検死 into her daughter’s death, Naomi’s admirable mother, Verna, is hoping to expose the shortcomings of the 司法(官) system so 残酷に that change cannot be resisted. The Mail salutes her courage.

計画(する) crazy

Tomorrow evening a 計画(する) will 出発/死 フラン for Afghanistan, 含む/封じ込めるing 違法な 移民,移住(する)s caught sleeping rough in Calais.

The Afghans have not 始める,決める foot in the UK, but guess who will be 選ぶing u p some of the 法案 for their flight home? The British taxpayer, of course.

Little wonder our 移民/移住 system remains an international laughing 在庫/株.?
