Britain clamps 負かす／撃墜する on selling 武器 to イスラエル

Jack Straw 強化するd the 支配するs on 武器 輸出（する）s last night as Britain 配達するd its strongest 批評 yet of イスラエル's 軍の 操作／手術s in Jenin and other Palestinian towns.

The move （機の）カム on a day of strong emotions in the ありふれたs, where 上級の 労働 backbencher Gerald Kaufman （刑事）被告 the Israeli army of 野蛮／未開.

Foreign 長官 Mr Straw told MPs that Britain can no longer 受託する Israeli 保証／確信s that 武器 輸出（する）s from the UK would not be used in the 占領するd 領土s.

His 決定／判定勝ち（する） follows the 発見 that armoured 職員／兵員 運送／保菌者s used by イスラエル in Palestinian areas are built on the chassis of British Centurion 戦車／タンクs 輸出（する）d from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Mr Straw told MPs: 'We have received undertakings from the 政府 of イスラエル that such 輸出（する）s would not be used in the 占領するd 領土s.

'As a result of what I regard as unsatisfactory answers from the 政府 of イスラエル to our 調査s, we can no longer make 決定／判定勝ち（する）s in 尊敬（する）・点 to 武器 輸出（する）s to イスラエル on the basis of those undertakings.'

公式の／役人s said the move means Britain will 査定する／（税金などを）課す any 未来 requests for 武器 輸出（する）s to イスラエル by 'rigorously' 適用するing the EU's code of 行為／行う.

This 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業s the 輸出（する） of 武器s which could be used for '内部の 圧迫 or 外部の 侵略'.

While the 活動／戦闘 落ちるs short of the 武器 出入港禁止 需要・要求するd by some backbenchers, it is 効果的に 説 that Britain can no longer 信用 Israeli 約束s.

Mr Straw's comments （機の）カム as he opened the long-を待つd 審議 on the Middle East, which had been 延期するd in the wake of the Queen Mother's death.

Earlier, Home Office 大臣 Ben Bradshaw had 解任するd Israeli 首相 Ariel Sharon's （人命などを）奪う，主張するs that his army's 活動／戦闘s are part of the 世界的な 'war on terror'.

He said: '最近の 活動／戦闘 by the Israeli defence 軍隊 in the 占領するd 領土s has been 極端に unhelpful in the 全世界の （選挙などの）運動をする against テロ行為.'

But the strongest 批評 of Sharon （機の）カム from 退役軍人 backbencher Mr Kaufman, a 目だつ 人物／姿／数字 in Britain's ユダヤ人の community.

The MP compared the 最近の 殺人，大当りs in Jenin to the 大虐殺 of more than 250 Palestinians by ユダヤ人の 極端論者s in the village of Al Tantura in 1948.

Mr Kaufman said Jews were becoming symbolised throughout the world by the 'blustering いじめ（る） Ariel Sharon, a war 犯罪の.

'Sharon is not 簡単に a war 犯罪の, he's a fool. He says Jerusalem must never again be divided, yet Jerusalem is divided in a way it has not been for 35 years.' 告発する／非難するing the army of 野蛮／未開, he said: 'It is time to remind Sharon that the 星／主役にする of David belongs to all Jews and not to his repulsive 政府.

'His 活動／戦闘s are staining the 星／主役にする of David with 血.

'These are communities that have to live 味方する by 味方する or they do not live at all,' he told MPs. 'There is no real 未来 for イスラエル unless they can reach an accommodation.'

保守的な 外務 広報担当者 Michael Ancram said that during his time as a Northern Ireland 大臣 under the last Tory 政府 he had learned never to give up hope.
