The heartbroken family of a teenage tradie killed at work said the $2million 罰金 手渡すd to his former 雇用者 is 'laughable'.

Sydney company Synergy Scaffolding were 手渡すd NSW's biggest ever workplace health and safety 罰金 on Friday for the death of 18-year-old 見習い工 Christopher Cassaniti in April, 2019.

Christopher had skipped his lunch break and was working と一緒に his 同僚?Khaled Wehbe, 39, when 30m of scaffolding above them 崩壊（する）d.

The structure was 持つ／拘留するing?17,905kg but was only designed to 持つ／拘留する?675kg, meaning it was nearly 30 times heavier than its 最大限 capacity.

They said their son - who celebrated his 18th birthday just days before his death - was a?hardworking, 肉親，親類d and gentle young man.

NSW 地区 法廷，裁判所 裁判官 Andrew Scotting agreed, 説 any 雇用者 would be lucky to have such an?'eager to learn' man.

'This 事例／患者 should serve as a telling 思い出の品 that 危険な 行為／法令／行動するs on a building 場所／位置 can and do lead to 壊滅的な consequences,' 裁判官 Scotting said on Friday.

'The overloading of the scaffold, the 欠如（する） of vertical を締めるing, the 除去 of the 関係 and the 除去 of the transoms made the 見込み of the 危険 occurring so high, that it was almost 確かな .'
