The runaway aristocrat and her rapist lover: A £15,000 escape 基金, burner phones and growing 恐れるs about their baby nearly 50 days after the couple were last sighted

夜明け breaks one January morning and the hunched silhouettes of a man and woman are caught on camera 長，率いるing into the Sussex countryside carrying a テント and sleeping 捕らえる、獲得するs.

It is 冷淡な and dark ― no time for （軍の）野営地，陣営ing and certainly no place for the new-born baby 隠すd beneath the coat of the 女性（の） 人物／姿／数字.

Tomorrow 示すs the 50th day since that sighting. Fifty days in which Constance Marten, her partner 示す Gordon and their child have seemingly 消えるd into thin 空気／公表する.

In that time, the trio has been the 焦点（を合わせる） of one of the most high-profile police searches of 最近の years, one that has seen 100 officers trawl through endless hours of CCTV （映画の）フィート数 while に引き続いて up 350 calls from members of the public. Search teams on the ground and thermal imaging drones in the 空気／公表する have been used to scour hundreds of acres of land.

‘They could be 絶対 anywhere in the UK,’ 認める the 主要都市の Police’s 探偵，刑事 Superintendent 吊りくさび Basford, speaking 排他的に to the Mail this week.

To many it will seem incredible that in modern Britain, a nation bristling with CCTV cameras, anyone could 避ける （犯罪，病気などの）発見 for so long. Marten is a blue-血d aristocrat, Gordon a 罪人／有罪を宣告するd rapist who served 20 years in a U.S. 刑務所，拘置所. So where on earth could they be?

There are a number of 可能性s, 非，不，無 of which has been 支配するd out by police.

One theory is that they might have been 密輸するd across the Channel in a small boat. As thousands of migrants have 論証するd, if you have the money it’s possible and Marten, with a family 信用 基金, most certainly does. Before going on the run she withdrew large 量s of cash, ― between £5,000 and £15,000.

Then there is the fact that in the days に引き続いて the birth of their child they 長，率いるd first to the port of Harwich in Essex and then to Newhaven in East Sussex. Yet it can be 明らかにする／漏らすd neither Marten nor Gordon has a パスポート.

Another 可能性 is that they could be 存在 helped by a 同情的な third party. Police have 支配するd out family or friends ― Marten is estranged from everyone ― but someone could have been 説得するd with cash.

Marten is 述べるd by Det Supt Basford as ‘very, very intelligent’ while other 専門家s say Gordon’s time in a U.S. 刑務所，拘置所 will mean he is ‘hyper-vigilant’.

And so police are once again calling on the public to help, 警告 that every passing day is another in which the baby is living in far from ideal circumstances.

‘We just need someone who has a 関心, or an intuition, to （犯罪の）一味 us,’ Det Supt Basford says. ‘That would give us a lead and 許す us to 選ぶ up on them again.’

At 6.33pm on Thursday, January 5, the 緊急 services were called to 報告（する）／憶測s of a broken-負かす／撃墜する car on 解雇する／砲火／射撃 on the hard shoulder of the M61 近づく Bolton. Its occupants were nowhere to be seen.

やめる what attracted her to Gordon is 不明瞭な. Raised in Birmingham, he was the youngest of seven children born to mother Sylvia, a nurse who （機の）カム to Britain from Jamaica as part of the ‘Windrush 世代’.

In the 中央の-1980s, when Gordon was 11, the family moved to Florida. It was here, in 1989, the then 14-year-old Gordon was 逮捕（する）d by police for attacking two 隣人s. His first 犠牲者 was a 30-year-old whom he held 捕虜 for more than four hours, 脅すing to kill her two children sleeping in the next room as he sexually 強襲，強姦d her.

Weeks later he broke into another 隣人’s home, attacking him with a shovel. He was 罪人／有罪を宣告するd of 強姦, 誘拐する and 殴打／砲列 and served 20 years in 刑務所，拘置所 before 存在 国外追放するd to the UK in 2010.

On returning, he met Marten who 大部分は 基金d their transient lives together. Where they were 長，率いるing when their car broke 負かす／撃墜する is 不明瞭な. After they were pictured buying （軍の）野営地，陣営ing gear at Argos on Whitechapel Road on January 7, they took a taxi to Haringey, and then, in the 早期に hours of Sunday morning, to Newhaven ― 支払う／賃金ing with cash.

‘My belief is that they don’t have the 犯罪の 協会s to be able to do that,’ he says. Police also think they may be starting to run low on money. ‘If they had carried on moving at that 率 that money would have finished a few weeks ago.’

As for third-party help, he says he is 確信して there is no one known to them or linked to them that is 活発に 補佐官ing them.

‘My only 関心 ― and that links into us 申し込む／申し出ing a £10,000 reward ― is have they come across somebody who is anti-police, anti-設立 and they have said to them, “We have got cash, can you help us?”’

On social マスコミ 場所／位置s the couple’s 見えなくなる has attracted 普及した discussion, with some calling for the police to let them get on with their lives.

The officer says the wider public needs to 信用 the police’s ‘evaluation and 危険 査定／評価s’ and to be aware that they have the 十分な support of Marten’s family.
