年輩の man with dementia died after 存在 left alone by carers for FIVE DAYS without food or drink

Carers left an 年輩の man with dementia alone for five days without food or drink before he was 設立する 崩壊（する）d on the 床に打ち倒す of his bungalow, an 検死 heard.

Harry Denton, 81, a former 長，指導者 clerk in the Army 支払う／賃金 軍団, should have been visited three times a day and had his meals and drinks 供給するd by staff from 個人として-run AJB Care.

But when Mr Denton did not answer the carers' knocks at the door, nobody from the company 警報d 親族s or took 活動／戦闘 to 伸び（る） 接近.

His daughter became 関心d when his phone was 絶えず engaged. She rang the company and was told that carers had visited and he was 罰金.

However, when the problem continued she 接触するd 隣人s and 親族s, who 設立する Mr Denton had 崩壊（する）d. He died a day later in hospital from 肺炎.

The Sheffield 検死 heard that Mr Denton had Alzheimer's 病気 and poor mobility に引き続いて 膝 外科, but was proud and 決定するd to continue living an 独立した・無所属 life at his home in Hoyland, South Yorkshire.

He had his last proper visit from carers on New Year's Eve, though 記録，記録的な／記録するs showed that staff 簡潔に 伸び（る）d 入ること／参加（者） on January 1 for a few minutes to show Mr Denton where his 医薬 was.

His daughter Pauline Anderson, who lives in Cheshire, spoke to him on the phone on January 2. The next day when his phone was engaged all the time she rang AJB and was told everything was all 権利.

He wasn't able to look after himself.'

Carer Gillian Barton 認める that for three days Mr Denton did not answer the door when she and a 同僚 called. 検死官 Chris Dorries asked her: 'Did it occur to you he might be lying in the house unable to open the door?' She replied: 'I thought there must be something not 権利.'

The company was paid £270 a week to visit Mr Denton three times a day, seven days a week. The 法案 was 分裂（する） between Mr Denton and Barnsley 会議's social services department, which recommended AJB to the family.
