Former 閣僚 大臣 James Purnell やめる because of a 中央の-life 危機, mocks Ed Balls

One of Gordon Brown's closest 同盟（する）s has 示唆するd that former Work and 年金s 長官 James Purnell walked out of the 閣僚 because of a 中央の-life 危機.

In a personal attack on his fellow 労働 MP, Schools 長官 Ed Balls mockingly （人命などを）奪う，主張するd that Mr Purnell was trying to discover his 身元.

His 発言／述べるs will be seen as an 早期に 一斉射撃 against any 未来 労働 leadership ambitions Mr Purnell might harbour.

Mr Purnell やめる the 閣僚 last month and 勧めるd the 総理大臣 to stand aside.
His hopes were stymied by the 拒絶 of その上の 閣僚 大臣s to follow 控訴, but his move left Mr Brown 損失d.

The 39-year-old has since taken up a 職業 at Blairite think-戦車／タンク デモs and is seen as a 可能性のある 候補者 to 後継する Mr Brown as 労働 lead er.

Mr Balls, in an interview with the Daily Telegraph, 注ぐd 軽蔑（する） on Mr Purnell's 活動／戦闘s.

'There are times when individuals in their 早期に forties have crises,' he said. 'They buy motorbikes, or travel 一連の会議、交渉／完成する the world or have a gap year.

Contrasting Mr Purnell's behaviour to those of other 大臣s who did not 辞職する, Mr Balls 追加するd: 'A lot of people looked into themselves...and said, "What's the 権利 thing to do?"

'They made 決定／判定勝ち（する）s which were 権利 for them, 権利 for the country and 権利 for the 労働 Party.'
