British man has ear, two fingers and three toes chopped off during 13-day 拷問 in Portugal over '未払いの 麻薬 負債'

A British man had an ear, two fingers and three toes chopped off during an horrific 13-day 誘拐する ordeal over an 申し立てられた／疑わしい 麻薬 負債.

The 26-year-old, 指名するd 地元で as James Ross, was held 捕虜 in a 郊外住宅 on the Algarve by a ギャング（団） of fellow Britons.

In a scene reminiscent of Quentin Tarantino movie 貯蔵所 Dogs, Mr Ross' ear was sliced off by his captors as they 拷問d him over a £10,000 負債.

But he managed to escape にもかかわらず two broken 脚s and was 設立する bleeding ひどく in the street at 9am on Monday in the village of Alfontes, 近づく Loule.

Passer-by Carlos Pereira said: 'He （機の）カム staggering に向かって me asking me to stop, waving his 武器 in the 空気／公表する.

'He had no left ear and was 行方不明の two fingers on his left 手渡す, one from one foot and two from the other. He also had a 脚 負傷させる.'

Mr Ross told Mr Pereira he had been 伴う／関わるd in a road 粉砕する.

The 地元の man said: 'He was very white. He said "please, please, telephone".

'I decided to put him in my 先頭 and drove him to a square, 近づく a cafe, and called the police.'

Newspaper Correio da Manha said Ross 借りがあるd Briton John McLean £10,000 over a cannabis 取引，協定.

He was 誘惑するd to the Algarve on October 5 when Mc Lean told him he could 支払う／賃金 off his 負債 working on a cannabis farm.

But he was kidnapped soon after 上陸 at Faro airport at 9pm.

Two days later his 関心d wife Donna received a call from the kidnappers. She recognised the 発言する／表明する as John Maclean's, Correio da Manha said.

Mrs Ross? was told her husband was 存在 held in a cage in the 支持を得ようと努めるd, unconscious and with broken 脚s, 武器, feet, ankles and ribs.

The 報知係 said her husband would be 遂行する／発効させるd if she called the police.

But British police were 監視するing the phoneline and tipped off their Portuguese 相当するものs, who traced the call to a phone booth on an 産業の 広い地所 近づく the 資本／首都 Lisbon.

Over the 週末 武装した officers from Portugal's 国家の 反対する テロ行為 部隊 逮捕（する）d Mclean and three other men, 指名するd in 報告（する）／憶測s as Terrence MacGurk, Calum McAleod and Ronnie Rose.

Three of them were held at a house 近づく the popular holiday 訴える手段／行楽地 of Albufeira.

At the time 探偵，刑事s were 納得させるd Ross had been 殺人d and they were looking for his 団体／死体.

They 設立する a 燃やすd out Mercedes said to have been used by the ギャング（団） in a 貯蔵所 in nearby Santana da Serra.

Police divers were brought in to look for a 団体／死体.

A police source said: 'Everything 示唆するd he was dead.'

探偵，刑事s were stunned when Ross turned up in the street pleading for help on Monday.

On Monday afternoon police 設立する the 郊外住宅 where Ross had been held in the village of Boliqueime.

The house is surrounded by a six-foot high 塀で囲む and a large アイロンをかける gate, has a large garden with a 木造の shed and a swimming pool.

British 隣人 Jack Mculigan told reporters he had seen a number of people coming and going in expensive cars.

He said: 'They have been like smoke, they've been in and out, you didn't know when they were here.

'I saw さまざまな people and cars. I'm talking about expensive cars, Audis and Mercedes.'

The four Britons are 存在 held on 再拘留（者） on the orders of 調査／捜査するing 治安判事 Carlos Alexandre, after appearing at the 診察するing 治安判事s 犯罪の 法廷，裁判所 in Lisbon.

They are said to be 老年の 20 to 50, all with police 記録，記録的な／記録するs and living in Portugal, where they were believed to be 伴う／関わるd in cannabis trafficking.

Ross has been transferred from the Faro Hospital to another hospital in the 資本／首都 Lisbon, where he is 存在 kept under 武装した guard.

A 広報担当者 for the Judicial Police in Lisbon said: 'I can 確認する the 逮捕（する） of four British men over the 週末 in relation to a kidnapping of another British man.

'We cannot give out any more 詳細（に述べる）s at this 行う／開催する／段階.'
