Hundreds of thousands of 抗議する人s crammed into Tahrir Square 爆発するd with joy after today 審理，公聴会 that Hosni Mubarak is to step 負かす／撃墜する as Egyptian 大統領.

As the biggest （人が）群がる of 抗議する人s to date 包囲するd Cairo, the news filtered through that the much- hated 大統領，／社長 had finally been 説得するd to step aside after 29 years in 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金.

He left the 資本／首都 this morning bound for Red Sea 訴える手段／行楽地 Sharm El Sheikh and 明言する／公表する TV 発表するd すぐに after 4pm GMT that he had 辞職するd.

It is understood that the Egyptian army will 支配する と一緒に 副大統領 Omar Suleiman until 選挙s can take place later this year.

At last: （人が）群がるs 爆発するd in a wave of 祝賀 as news filtered through to Tahrir Square that after 逃げるing Cairo Mubarak had stepped aside

The 驚くべき／特命の／臨時の scenes 広げるd in Tahrir Square on the same day that TV news 駅／配置する Al Arabiya 報告（する）／憶測d that Mr Mubarak had left for an '公表されていない 場所'.

'The people 追い出すd the 大統領，／社長,' 詠唱するd a （人が）群がる of tens of thousands outside his 大統領の palace in Cairo upon 審理，公聴会 the news.

Several hundred thousand 抗議する人s 集まりd in Cairo's central Tahrir Square 爆発するd into joy, waving Egyptian 旗s, and car horns and celebratory 発射s in the 空気／公表する were heard around the city of 18 million in joy after 副大統領 Omar Suleiman made the 告示 on 国家の TV just after nightfall.

Mubarak had sought to 粘着する to 力／強力にする, 手渡すing some of his 当局 to Suleiman while keeping his 肩書を与える. But an 爆発 of 抗議するs on Friday 拒絶するing the move appeared to have 押し進めるd the 軍の into 軍隊ing him out 完全に.

Hundreds of thousands marched throughout the day in cities across the country as 兵士s stood by, 包囲するing his palace in Cairo and Alexandria and the 明言する／公表する TV building. A 知事 of a southern 州 was 軍隊d to 逃げる to safety in the 直面する of 抗議するs there.

It was the biggest day of 抗議するs yet in the 激変 that began Jan. 25, growing from 青年 行動主義者s working on the Internet into a 集まり movement that tapped into 普及した discontent with Mubarak's 権威主義者 lock on 力／強力にする, 汚職, 経済的な woes and 普及した 不平等s between rich and poor.

'In these 墓／厳粛／彫る／重大な circumstances that the country is passing through, 大統領 Hosni Mubarak has decided to leave his position as 大統領，／社長 of the 共和国,' a grim-looking Suleiman said.

'He has 委任統治（領）d the 武装した 軍隊s 最高の 会議 to run the 明言する／公表する. God is our protector and succour.'

Nobel Peace laureate Mohammed ElBaradei, whose young 支持者s were の中で the 組織者s of the 抗議する movement, told The Associated 圧力（をかける）, 'This is the greatest day of my life.'

'The country has been 解放するd after １０年間s of repression,' he said 追加するing that he 推定する／予想するs a 'beautiful' 移行 of 力／強力にする.

Moments after Egypt's 副大統領 Omar Suleiman made the 告示, the 花火s lit up the sky night.

Celebratory 砲火 could be heard in the Shiite 支配するd areas in south Lebanon and in southern Beirut.

On al-Manar TV, the 駅／配置する run by the Shiite イスラム教徒 Hezbollah 派閥, Egyptian 錨，総合司会者 Amr Nassef cried emotionally on the 空気／公表する and said: 'Allahu Akbar, the Pharaoh is dead. Am I dreaming? I'm afraid to be dreaming.'

Ashton says that 'it is important now that the 対話 is 加速するd 主要な to a 幅の広い-based 政府.'

EU 議会 大統領 Jerzy Buzek says the Egyptian people now want the old 政権 to be 完全に 取り去る／解体するd.

He said: 'Europe will 手段 the next steps in the fulfillment of the people's 需要・要求する by 廃止するing the 緊急 法律s and by ending all 脅迫 of 新聞記者／雑誌記者s, human 権利s defenders or political 反体制者s.'

It was not thought that Mubarak had fled the country and instead flew from a 軍の base on the 郊外s of Cairo.

The move （機の）カム as thousands of 抗議する人s marched on the 大統領の palace. It is the first time there has been any major movement away from Tahrir Square, the epicentre for 対立 to the 政権.

Most 兵士s kept their helmets off in a 調印する they want to 避ける 衝突／不一致s. Britain asked for '抑制', 恐れるing the 18th day of 抗議するs, dubbed 'Day of 殉教者s', might end 不正に.

But as support for the 抗議するs swelled more than ever before over the last three weeks it became （疑いを）晴らす that 平和的な life in Egypt would not 再開する until Mubarak had left.

'The army have said many times they will not use 軍隊 against 抗議する人s,' said Foreign 長官 William Hague.

It comes after the Egyptian army threw its support behind Mr Mubarak and his 決定／判定勝ち（する） to remain until September.

The EU has been ますます 関心d over events in Egypt, with 公式の／役人s worrying that it could spin out of 支配（する）／統制する unless Mr Mubarak gives in to 抗議する人s' 需要・要求するs.

British Foreign 長官 William Hague called for an '緊急の but 整然とした 移行' in Egypt.

He told the BBC: 'We're 熟考する／考慮するing very closely what the 大統領，／社長 and the 副／悪徳行為 大統領，／社長 of Egypt have said.'

Mr Hague said it was 不明瞭な what 力／強力にするs Mr Mubarak had transferred to his 副／悪徳行為 大統領，／社長.

He said: 'The Egyptian people have been told that the 政府 is serious about a 本物の 輸送 イオン to 僕主主義, and it is the 責任／義務 of the 政府 to speak 明確に to the Egyptian people and the world.

'The Egyptian 政府 must put 今後 a 信頼できる, 固める／コンクリート and 明白な path toward 本物の 僕主主義, and they have not yet 掴むd that 適切な時期.'

There was a surprising 欠如（する） of 暴力／激しさ after Mr Mubarak 反抗するd the 抗議する人s and 予測s from the international community that he would step 負かす／撃墜する.

中央情報局 Director Leon Panetta has lent support to 報告（する）／憶測s that he would 発表する his 出発.

The surprise 決定／判定勝ち（する） to stay on led to the strongest rebuke yet by Mr Obama に向かって the Egyptian 政府, but he failed to について言及する Mr Mubarak by 指名する and did not 脅す to withold 決定的な 軍の 援助（する）.
