女性（の） chaplain made 誤った 強姦 （人命などを）奪う，主張する against カトリック教徒 priest after their 関係 ended

偽の （人命などを）奪う，主張する: Emma Templeton had '問題／発行するs' leaving her with parts in her of an 'emotional child'

Father Patrick Udoma lost his 職業 and his home and his life was ‘完全に 荒廃させるd’ when Emma Templeton, 44, lied to police that she had been 本気で sexually 強襲，強姦d by him, a 法廷，裁判所 heard.

The 45-year-old 苦しむd the humiliation of 存在 逮捕（する）d by police at his church while 行為／行うing a funeral, had his home searched, 動きやすい phone 押収するd and was locked up for 23 hours in a 独房 and questioned.

It wasn’t until five months later ? when police discovered more than 200 intimate text messages between the couple on Templeton’s phone ? that he was finally exonerated and she was 逮捕（する）d instead.

Yesterday Templeton, who worked at John Henry Newman カトリック教徒 College, Birmingham, was 宣告，判決d to ten months’ 監禁，拘置, 一時停止するd for a year, after admitting perverting the course of 司法（官）.

James Burbidge, QC, the Recorder of Birmingham, said he 受託するd Templeton had not 行為／法令／行動するd maliciously when she made the 強姦 主張, but 追加するd: ‘You have committed a very serious offence.

‘It was created when your 関係 with Father Udoma appeared to be coming to an end, and from what you said to him you knew you could 原因（となる） him trouble.’

Birmingham 栄冠を与える 法廷，裁判所 heard that Father Udoma started a 関係 with Templeton in 2008 while based at St Rose of Lima カトリック教徒 Church, in Weoley 城, Birmingham.

Shenaz Musaffer, 起訴するing, told the 法廷，裁判所 that Templeton first made an 主張 of 強姦 against the priest to 同僚s in January 2009. She also （人命などを）奪う，主張するd to have tried, on two occasions, to take her own life by taking an overdose of paracetamol.

However, it wasn’t until more than a year later, in April last year, that Templeton, of Northfield, Birmingham, made a formal 強姦 （民事の）告訴 to the police.

Father Udoma was 逮捕（する）d and, under 尋問, 認める he had engaged in consensual sex with Templeton on two occasions but said their 関係 was over.

He told officers she had 警告するd him that she would not be able to 保証（人） what she would do if he ‘傷つける’ her.

Father Udoma was 解放（する）d on 保釈（金） but it wasn’t until September, when police discovered hundreds of text messages on Templeton’s phone, in which she 宣言するd her love and 尊敬（する）・点 for the priest, that he was finally told no その上の 活動／戦闘 would be taken against him.

結局, however, she told officers she had made the 主張s up.

Sally Hancox, defending, said Templeton was of 以前 good character but had ‘問題／発行するs’ from her childhood and adolescent life which meant there was still an element of the ‘emotional child’ in her.

She 追加するd: ‘She 許すd herself to become embroiled in a 状況／情勢 which for many 推論する／理由s was 不適切な.’

に引き続いて the 事例／患者, a former parishioner, who did not want to be 指名するd, told the Birmingham Mail that Father Udoma had been ‘tormented’ by Templeton’s ‘wicked’ （人命などを）奪う，主張するs and ‘didn’t deserve what happened to him’.

She said he was 行為／行うing a funeral at his church on April 15 last year when police arrived to take him into 保護／拘留.

It is understood Father Udoma has since been 復帰させるd in a different parish.
