Horror at the races as two horses are 電気椅子で死刑にするd in freak parade （犯罪の）一味 悲劇

Two horses died after 明らかに 存在 電気椅子で死刑にするd in a mysterious 出来事/事件 minutes before the start of a 障害物 race yesterday.

Hundreds of 観客s watched Fenix Two and Marching Song 後部 up and 叫び声をあげる before ‘dropping like 石／投石するs’ in the parade （犯罪の）一味 at Newbury racecourse in Berkshire.

It is thought they 苦しむd electric shocks from 地下組織の cables that may have been 穴をあけるd during 最近の 演習ing to aerate the ground.

There was disquiet that the race, the Novices’ 障害物, which would have been Fenix Two’s first race, went ahead にもかかわらず the 悲劇, although the 残り／休憩（する） of the 会合 was abandoned.

Other horses which showed 調印するs of 苦しめる in the paddock ? one w as seen to ‘wobble’ ? were 報道によれば 設立する to have 燃やす 示すs on their mouths after they crossed the finishing line.

Although the 調査 into the deaths centred on electric shocks as a 原因（となる）, course chairman Christopher Spence said 非，不，無 of the cables beneath the paddock showed 調印するs of 損失.

BBC commentator Robert Bell 述べるd it as an ‘awful scene’ and ‘an 驚くべき／特命の／臨時の chain of events’.

Jonjo O’Neill, trainer of Fenix Two, which was owned by 億万長者 Irish financier JP McManus, said he noticed Kid Cassidy, the horse in 前線 of his, go 負かす／撃墜する on his 膝s.

‘地雷 then 後部d up and we couldn’t get him 支援する, it was like he was stuck to the ground. It was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.’

A vet who tried to 抑制する Fenix Two while he was on the ground said: ‘There was an unpleasant sensation touching him, like an 電気の 刺激. It was worse when I went up to his ears, where he was sweating and warmer. I tried to 治める some 麻薬s to him, but unfortunately he died a couple of minutes later.’

Fenix Two, a six-year-old, and Marching Song, a five-year-old, had been 予定 to run in the 開始 race at 1.20pm. They were about to be 機動力のある by their (v)策を弄する／(n)騎手s on the far 味方する of the parade （犯罪の）一味 when they fell to the ground.

Another horse, The Merry 巨大（な）, was also 影響する／感情d but took part, though he was later 報告（する）／憶測d to be ‘不正に traumatised’.

Kid Cassidy 回復するd after 簡潔に 崩壊（する）ing but was 孤立した at the start of the race. His trainer Nicky Henderson said: ‘About a minute before it happened, Kid Cassidy was walking in the same corner of the paddock.

'I had my 支援する turned but my daughter said, “Your horse has gone 負かす／撃墜する”. He just suddenly 崩壊（する）d behind but as he did it he danced 支援する and got 支援する on the rubber 跡をつける.

‘There was no way I was going to take a chance. It seems to me Kid Cassidy was very, very lucky, because he was very の近くに to 存在 a third [death].’

The Southern Electricity Board later arrived to carry out an 調査 of the paddock area.

Course 広報担当者 Philip Brannan said: ‘An 電気の fault is the 優先 疑惑. The electricity board has been called in and the horses are を受けるing 地位，任命する-mortem examinations.

'If electricity was responsible then the 付加 factor would be the type of shoes worn by the horses, called racing plates. It’s been 示唆するd that the two horses which died were the only ones wearing steel plates, not alloy shoes, and that’s 存在 looked into.’

Paul Barber, owner of another horse, Denman , was in the paddock at the time of the 出来事/事件.

He said some people felt a ‘tingling’ as they led horses around the paddock. ‘They were getting the shocks off the grass, not off the tarmac.’

Marching Song’s part-owner Graham Thorner said the fallen horse had ‘広大な／多数の／重要な 可能性のある’.

He 追加するd: ‘To a layman with no 証拠, you would say it was 電気の. The lad who was with him was 説, “I’m getting an electric shock off this horse”.

‘The horses were kicking out at something and it seemed to be in an area leaving the paddock. It can’t be coincidence four horses have done the same thing and two have died, in the same area. Three people said they were getting a shock off the horse.’

Horses are far more 極度の慎重さを要する to electricity than humans, and wet ground 条件s could have 与える／捧げるd to the problem.

Mr Spence said: ‘It’s a nightmare for everybody. We can’t be 確かな what it is, we all think it’s electric, but we don’t know. It’s 敗北・負かすd everyone and we don’t know the answer. We’ll have a 会合 to decide if we can re-run any of the races and we’ll make その上の 告示s as soon as we can.

‘We’ve looked at the cables and we couldn’t see any 損失 and no work has been carried out on the paddock since the last 会合.’

‘We will also be 実験（する）ing a 見本 of the water 供給（する） and have 安全な・保証するd and will review al l of the CCTV （映画の）フィート数 from the racecourse stables and （映画の）フィート数 from the parade （犯罪の）一味 itself at the time,’ he said.
