雇用者s' settle in for long 運ぶ／漁獲高 over firefighters 論争

The firefighters' 論争 remained 行き詰まるd today as 大臣s 示すd they were 用意が出来ている to dig in for months of strikes.

At the end of the eight-day strike yesterday and with another 停止 始める，決める for Wednesday, 解雇する／砲火／射撃 旅団s Union (FBU) leader Andy Gilchrist 誘発するd a bitter war of words with the 政府 and sent relations to a new low.

Ian McCartney, the 大臣 恐らく brought in to build 橋（渡しをする）s between the 政府 and the unions, （刑事）被告 Mr Gilchrist of "losing the 陰謀（を企てる）" for 示すing that he 手配中の，お尋ね者 to 倒す New 労働.

FBU and 雇用者s' 交渉者s were 予定 to begin separate 会談 tomorrow but it was not yet known when the two 味方するs would get 一連の会議、交渉／完成する the 交渉するing （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する again to try to thrash out the ますます 行き詰まるd 支払う／賃金 論争.

交渉s ended without 協定 on Friday after 雇用者s failed to （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する a new 支払う／賃金 申し込む／申し出.

After the eight-day strike - the third 停止 by firefighters - 予定 to start this Wednesday, the FBU 計画（する）s to 持つ／拘留する a fourth on December 16, the day Professor Sir George Bain will publish his 十分な 報告（する）／憶測 into 改革（する） of the 解雇する／砲火／射撃 service.

Last night it 現れるd that the 政府 may consider introducing 法律制定 to 禁止（する） firefighters from striking on the 支援する of the Bain 報告（する）／憶測.

The 政府 may introduce the hard-line 手段, which would bring firefighters into line with police and 兵士s, in a White Paper に引き続いて the publi cation of the 報告（する）／憶測.

A spokeswoman for the Office of the 副 総理大臣 said: "The 十分な Bain 報告（する）／憶測 will be out in December. We will make a 決定／判定勝ち（する） then how best to take it 今後.

"However, a White Paper is an 選択 and is not out of the question. 大臣s have said that they are not looking at anti-strike 法律制定 at the moment. However we will 明白に review everything if developing any White Paper."

In a speech to a Manchester political 決起大会／結集させる yesterday Mr Gilchrist 解雇する／砲火／射撃d off a message of 反抗 to the 政府.

The 政府 was "用意が出来ている to play with people's lives", he continued, calling on the union movement to 再考する its historic links with 労働.

But Mr McCartney （刑事）被告 the FBU 長，指導者 of "losing the 陰謀（を企てる）" and "dragging 勇敢に立ち向かう firefighters into his political attacks on the 政府".

"How can the 政府 かもしれない have 刺激するd this strike ?" Mr McCartney asked.

"It was not the 政府 who （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するd a 40% 支払う／賃金 （人命などを）奪う，主張する, not the 政府 who 投票（する）d firefighters on such an impossible （人命などを）奪う，主張する, not the 政府 who called people out on strike and not the 政府 that tore up a 25-year 支払う／賃金 決まり文句／製法 which Andy Gilchrist 以前 脅すd to call a 国家の strike about if it was ever touched."

Mr Gilchrist should abandon "megaphone rhetoric" and 再開する meaningful discussions to 解決する the 論争 with a 支払う／賃金 and modernisation 協定, the 大臣 said.

"As a long-time friend of the FBU, I am saddened that Andy Gilchrist's misjudgements have left his members in this position. He is 明確に losing the 陰謀（を企てる）."
