Baby kept on hospital trolley for 16 hours

A 主要な children's hospital today said it was 調査／捜査するing why an 11-month-old baby was kept waiting on a hospital trolley for 16 hours.

His parents, Darren and Paige Lander, criticised the hospital's 管理／経営 over the 治療 their son received.

The child, from Solihull, West Midlands, had been 急ぐd to the Birmingham hospital on Saturday night 苦しむing from chickenpox.

It took four hours for a doctor to see him, by which time his 条件 had 悪化するd to 肺炎.

It took another 12 hours for the Ben to be transferred from an 事故 and 緊急 cubicle to a 区 bed.

Dr Sandy Bradbrook, 長，指導者 (n)役員／(a)執行力のある of the hospital, said today: "We 悔いる, unreservedly, the long 延期する in finding an 孤立／分離 cubicle for Ben Lander.

"I have spoken 本人自身で with Ben's family and they have complimented the hospital on the care they have received throughout their stay."

He said a 十分な 調査 was under way to 確実にする that it did not happen again.

"The 延期する was 予定 to a number of factors - not only was the hospital 十分な at the 週末, there were no 孤立するd paediatric cubicles どこかよそで in the city," he said.
