Chunnel rail link section '完全にするd on time'

A 重要な milestone was reached today in the construction of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.

輸送（する） 大臣 John Spellar …に出席するd a 儀式 at Mersham, 近づく Ashford, Kent, to 示す the 完成 of 工学 work on the first section of the link.

He 述べるd the work, which 含むd a 1.2 kilometre-long 橋（渡しをする） over the River Medway and a three kilometre tunnel 近づく Chatham as a "勝利" for the civil 工学 産業 and a "real British success story".

The 74 kilometre (46 mile) stretch between the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone and Fawkham Junction in north Kent is the first 相当な section of mainline 鉄道 to be 建設するd in Britain for more than a century.

The section, costing £1.9 billion of 私的な and public money, will enable Eurostar trains to run at their 十分な 速度(を上げる） of 186mph in Britain for the first time, cutting 旅行 times from London to

Paris and Brussels by 20 minutes.
