Priory 扱う／治療するs text （麻薬）常用者s

More people are becoming （麻薬）常用者d to text-messaging as a way of escaping problems with 直面する-to-直面する 関係s, a doctor at the Priory has （人命などを）奪う，主張するd.

The Priory Hospital in Roehampton, south west London, famous for 扱う／治療するing celebrities with alcohol and 麻薬 problems, has 広げるd its 範囲 of 治療 programmes to を取り引きする ますます 複雑にするd 中毒s.

Dr 示す Collins, 長，率いる of the Priory's 中毒s 部隊, said text （麻薬）常用者s were just one example of how 中毒 patterns had changed 意味ありげに in 最近の years.

The 増加するd 役割 of 動きやすい phones and Internet 科学（工学）技術 in our ever more stressful lives has bred a 範囲 of new behavioural 中毒s, he believes.

"The main thing is about 避けるing reality and living in an 人工的な reality," he said.

"Texting, for people who have other problems with 関係s or whatever, 供給するs a way of having a 安全な, 人工的な 関係 where you feel in 支配（する）／統制する."

Like drinking alcohol, texting in small 量s does not 原因（となる） problems but "repetitive, compulsive behaviour" can destroy self-esteem and 関係s.

Dr Collins said he had seen 患者s who 損失d their thumb 共同のs by spending so much time texting - up to eight hours a day in some 事例／患者s.

"It became the 焦点の point of their lives - everything else was 第２位.

"The texting was their 存在, their 関係s were 行為／行うd through texting, it was not so much the hours. There was no difference between that and somebody 存在 blind drunk for hours on end or taking 麻薬s for hours on end. It was just obvious that this was a behavioural 中毒 with some underlying problem, just a 21st century 表現 thereof."
