Clarke 誓約(する)s school 予算 rise

Every school is to get a 最小限 per-pupil cash 増加する 価値(がある) at least 4% next year, to 妨げる a repeat of this year's 予算s 危機.

Education 長官 Charles Clarke said about £180 million extra would go to 地元の education 当局 that got the smallest 増加するs in 基金ing this year, in 2004-05 and 2005-06.

And, in a ありふれたs 声明, he 約束d to 速度(を上げる) up 支払い(額)s to the worst-影響する/感情d schools, 供給するing they could show there would be "real 損失" to children's education if they did not receive the money sooner.

Mr Clarke said his 保証(人)ing every school a 最小限 4 per cent per-pupil cash 増加する - as 公表する/暴露するd by PA News earlier this month - would 回復する "安定 and certainty" to schools as they planned their 予算s for next year.

But David Hart, general 長官 of the 国家の 協会 of 長,率いる Teachers, 警告するd the 政府 was "賭事ing all" on a 取引,協定 designed to 避ける embarrassing teacher redundancies in the run-up to the next General 選挙.

Mr Hart 追加するd: "There is 絶対 no 保証(人) that the 試みる/企てる to 修理 the 厳しい 損失 原因(となる)d by this year's 基金ing fiasco will do the trick."

Some schools 急落(する),激減(する)d more than £500,000 into the red this year, and 調査するs have 示唆するd that thousands of teaching 地位,任命するs have been 削減(する) as a result.

Mr Clarke said the 緊急 援助(する) for the worst-影響する/感情d would be 価値(がある) a 最大限 of £300,000 per LEA, or 0.2% of their education 予算, whichever was the greater 量.

He would only bring 今後 支払い(額)s where schools and LEAs were able to produce a "costed, 信頼できる" 予算 balancing 計画(する).

Mr Clarke said he 推定する/予想するd schools to 直面する 普通の/平均(する) cost 増加するs of 3.4% in the next 財政上の year.
