When it comes to developing cars which balance 速度(を上げる） and style, few 製造業者s have ever been able to match Ferrari.

And the Italians were truly on form when they developed the iconic Testa Rossa, now regarded as one of history's greatest-ever racing cars.

Proof of the Ferrari 遺産／遺物 （機の）カム today when one of the 22 原型s built in 1956 became the most expensive car ever sold.

The 乗り物 fetched nearly £10million - にもかかわらず nearly 存在 destroyed twice.

The classic Ferrari was 厳しく 損失d in a Le Mans race in 1958 and later 難破させるd by a garage 解雇する／砲火／射撃, but has since been professionally 回復するd to its former glory.

The Ferrari Testa Rossa became known as the one of history's greatest ever racing cars through an incredible winning 記録，記録的な／記録する in the late 1950s.

The cars won 10 out of 19 international races they entered between 1958 and 1961.

One of the Ferrari models, a TR 58, took glory in the 1958 Le Mans race, in which the Italian 製造業者 had entered 10 乗り物s.

It was a number of cars which sold for staggering 量s over the 週末 with more than £47 million ($78 million) spent in total.

David Lillywhite, editor of モーターing magazine Octane, said: 'We were 推定する／予想するing it to go for a high price because it is the model which kicked off the 王朝 of Ferrari racing.
