Our £3,000 Hobbit house: The family home dug from a hillside and built with 捨てるs scavenged from skips

Fed up with 抱擁する mortgage 支払い(額)s, Simon Dale decided to take 事柄s into his own 手渡すs ? literally.

武装した with only a chisel, a chainsaw and a 大打撃を与える, the 32-year-old moved his family to a hillside in むちの跡s and started digging.

The result is a 木造の eco-home ? 建設するd in four months and costing? just £3,000 ? which would look perfectly at 緩和する と一緒に the Hobbit houses in The Lord Of The (犯罪の)一味s.

Mr Dale, who has no experience in carpentry or architecture, created his 維持できる family home using 捨てる 支持を得ようと努めるd for 床に打ち倒すs, 構成要素s scavenged from skips and by コースを変えるing water from a nearby spring.

And while he was doing the building work, his wife Jasmine Saville and their two toddler children (軍の)野営地,陣営d in the nearby countryside.

He said: ‘存在 your own have-a-go architect is a lot of fun and 許すs you to create and enjoy something which is part of yourself and the land rather than, at worst, a 集まり-produced box designed for 最大限 利益(をあげる) and the convenience of the construction 産業.

The family struck lucky searching for a 場所/位置 for their dream 事業/計画(する). In return for looking after the area, the owner of the 支持を得ようと努めるd gave them their 陰謀(を企てる) for 解放する/自由な.

After digging into the hillside, Mr Dale ? with the help of his father-in-法律, a 建設業者 ? first 建設するd the building’s 木材/素質 でっちあげる,人を罪に陥れる.

The roof, which (機の)カム next, has a 層 of straw bales for insulation and is covered? with sheets of plastic to make it waterproof.

Finally it is covered with a 層 of earth, which 確実にするs the house blends perfectly into its surroundings.
