Holiday pools 'a health hazard'

Many hotel swimming pools in two favourite overseas hotspots for Britons are putting bathers' health at 危険, the 消費者s' 協会 said.

Twenty out of 80 pools 実験（する）d in Majorca and Corfu were 非難するd as a health hazard in a "stomach-churning" 調査する from the CA's Holiday Which? magazine.

Six pools were ひどく 汚染するd with faecal bacteria, かもしれない 原因（となる）d by babies or toddlers fouling the pool.

A その上の 29 pools were a 可能性のある health hazard, while just two of the 80 were given a 完全にする clean 法案 of health.

Majorcan 訴える手段／行楽地s where pools were 実験（する）d 含むd Alcudia and Puerto de Pollensa, while most of the Corfu pools were in the 訴える手段／行楽地 of Sidari.

Each pool had water 見本s 実験（する）d for the 集中 and 有効性 of 消毒薬s and for microbiological 汚染.

The 実験（する）s showed that the 集中 of chlorine in seven pools was high enough to bleach bathing 控訴s and was likely to 原因（となる） irritation to 注目する，もくろむs and 肌.

Also, five pools 含む／封じ込めるd no traces of 消毒薬 - leaving bathers open to cross-感染.

Holiday Which? managing editor Kim Winter said: "No 限定された 科学の 研究 存在するs linking levels of 汚染 with 危険s of illness, but 非，不，無 of our 専門家s would have swum in any of the worst-率d pools we 実験（する）d.

"Our stomach-churning 証拠 of 甚だしい／１２ダース bacterial 汚染 shows the 明らかな 無資格／無能力 of most hotels at 持続するing 効果的な levels of water 消毒薬 in their pools. This is 提起する／ポーズをとるing a serious health hazard to holidaymakers."
