Britain is becoming a nation of 気候 change sceptics with more than a third of people thinking that 全世界の warming (人命などを)奪う,主張するs are 誇張するd, a 調査する has 明らかにする/漏らすd.

Just 24 per cent of people thought scientists were overstating the problem in 2000 - but that 人物/姿/数字 has now 急に上がるd to 37 per cent.

And although 54 per cent regarded 空気/公表する 汚染 from cars as 'very' or '極端に' dangerous to the 環境 11 years ago, it had 拒絶する/低下するd to 28 per cent last year.

The 後退,不況 is thought to be one of the 最初の/主要な 推論する/理由s behind the growth in 気候 change scepticism - with people worried about making ends 会合,会う than 保護するing the 環境.

The 人物/姿/数字s, published in the 年次の British Social 態度s 報告(する)/憶測, also 示唆するd Britons are fed up of having green 税金s slapped on their 公共事業(料金)/有用性s 法案s.

While in 2000 31 per cent supported green 徴収するs, in the new 熟考する/考慮する just 22 per cent said they are in favour.

There is also little support for the type of road (死傷者)数s 存在 considered by 大臣s ? いっそう少なく than one in five believe drivers should 支払う/賃金 more to use busy roads.

The author of the 報告(する)/憶測, Eleanor Taylor, said there was 証拠 we are turning ‘a paler shade of green’.

The growth in 気候 change scepticism have come as 氷点の British winters have brought 激しい 降雪.

There have also been 後退s for 気候 change 支持するs over 欠陥s in UN 報告(する)/憶測s on 全世界の warming and 証拠 that 気温s across the world have been 落ちるing.

The only group の中で whom scepticism has not 増加するd are university 卒業生(する)s, the 2010 投票 of 3,297 people 設立する.

Across the board, only 43 per cent of people now believe 気候 change is dangerous for the 環境 ? 負かす/撃墜する from 51 per cent in 1993.
