Saved by mother's instinct: As a drunk's car sped at her two-year-old son, Yazmin leapt in its path. Now she is 手足を不自由にする／（物事を）損なうd for life... while the driver just got 18 months

She leapt into the the car's path to throw her little boy out of the way.

Leo escaped with barely a scratch. But Mrs Henderson was left 手足を不自由にする／（物事を）損なうd for life after the car 攻撃する，衝突する her instead.

The driver, who had drunk 19 cans of lager before climbing behind the wheel, has now been 刑務所，拘置所d for 18 months.

Last night the mother-of-one, who has been told she will probably never walk without crutches, said that にもかかわらず her 'horrible' 傷害s, she would do the same thing again.

'My reaction was so quick, I didn't even think ? it was just an 勧める to 保護する my child,' she said.

'It must have been a mother's instinct. But if I had the 適切な時期, of course I would do it again. If I hadn't done it, Leo wouldn't be here.'

The 十分な-time mother, 40, and her son were on their way 支援する from a country walk 近づく their home in North Kelsey, Lincolnshire, when the car swerved に向かって them.

'I had taken Leo to a field so that he could see the cows,' Mrs Henderson said.

'Without thinking I just grabbed Leo and threw him out of the way.

'It felt like I was in a movie. I was sure I was going to die.'

When Mrs Henderson 回復するd consciousness, she was lying on the road and could see Leo a few yards away, not moving.

Leo, now three, used to love playing with toy cars and tractors, but is now terrified of them.

'When he hears the sound of a car approaching, Leo often panics and says “that car will get us”,' said Mrs Henderson.

'He is really 脅すd of them. He will run away or hide behind me when he sees one.

'He used to love watching the tractors on the farm, but now he won't look at them.

'He was a fearless little boy once. Now he's 脅すd of everything.'

Mrs Henderson's 傷害s were so 厳しい she had to have metal plates and screws 挿入するd into her feet.

Both the bones in her lower 脚 were broken in two places, her toes were broken on both feet, and she had dislocated her ankle.

Now, five months later, she struggles to walk without support and cannot 運動 or 解除する anything 激しい.

The driver of the car, 示す Richards ? who was four times over the 限界 at the time of the 衝突，墜落 ? was 設立する 有罪の of dangerous 運動ing and drink-運動ing at Lincoln 栄冠を与える 法廷，裁判所 on Friday.

Richards, 34, had been on a 24-hour binge before getting into the car.

He said Richards had felt he was okay to 運動 and cannot account for why he lost 支配（する）／統制する, but believes he may have 黒人／ボイコットd out.

Mrs Henderson, who lives with her husband Alex, 47, an oil 装備する 労働者, said she was happy that Richards was going to 刑務所，拘置所.

'I hope he learns something from this,' she said.

'If you want to have a good time and drink, you have to be responsible.'

When asked whether she would do the same again, she said: 'Of course I would.

'I am just so happy we are both here now. It made me believe in 奇蹟s really.'
