Father's horror at finding daughter, two, hanging from window blind cord in her bedroom

A father yesterday told how his family was ‘broken’ by the death of their two-year-old daughter after she 罠にかける her neck in the cord of a window blind.
Two-year-old Emily Warner was left paralysed and 苦しむd brain 損失.
She died months later に引き続いて breathing and heart problems.

Speaking after an 検死 yesterday her father Jamie, 30, said: ‘Emmie was the light of our lives, such a wonderful little girl.
‘There is no one thing that is responsible, it was an 事故. We didn’t see any danger because we weren’t looking.’
The little girl had been put to bed, but stood up on the end of her bed-でっちあげる，人を罪に陥れる and was climbing across her window sill when the 事故 happened.
Mr Warner 設立する her hanging unconscious on her tiptoes when he walked past her room a few minutes later.

The 悲劇 happened on the evening of August 27 last year at the family home in Royston, Hertfordshire.

Arthur's 事故 was in the morning of Thursday, January 5, when he was in his bedroom.

The 審理，公聴会 comes after toddler Arthur Winfield, also two, had a 類似の 事故 with a blind cord in his bedroom in Markyate, Hertfordshire, on January 5. He died in hospital five days later.
Since the 悲劇, the Warners have helped to 促進する the 王室の Society for the 予防 of 事故s and British Blind and Shutter 協会’s Make It 安全な （選挙などの）運動をする.
It is calling for 改良s to safety 基準s in blinds, such as chain-break 関係s, to 妨げる その上の deaths.
The couple told how the day after the 事故 they 取って代わるd all their vertical blinds with 逮捕する curtains.
Mr Warner, who 作品 for a 化学製品 製造業者 said: ‘We don’t want other families to 苦しむ in the way we have.
'By taking some simple steps with your blinds you can 保護する your children.’
