Brussels gravy train keeps on rolling as EU quango 予算 RISES 33% in two years to £2BILLION... while Britain makes 抱擁する CUTS?

  • Cost of running EU quangos now costs taxpayers £2.17billion a year
  • Number of 機関s has risen from just three in 1990 to 52 today
  • Axeing just ten most 'pointless' quangos would save Britain £100m

British taxpayers 直面する 支払う/賃金ing million s of 続けざまに猛撃するs more for ‘pointless’ EU quangos after Brussels planned a 大規模な 予算 増加する of 33 per cent over two years.

全体にわたる, the cost of 52 機関s and 委員会s ? such as the Community 工場/植物 Variety Office ? is 始める,決める to rise to £2.17billion if the European (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限 計画(する) is 認可するd.

And because Britain 支払う/賃金s 13 per cent of the 予算, taxpayers in this country would therefore be 攻撃する,衝突する with a 法案 of £298million this year.

The news (機の)カム as UK 財務省 長,指導者 長官 Danny Alexander 発表するd that 政府 departments at home will have to find even more 削減(する)s.

Pawel Swidlicki, a 研究 分析家 for the Open Europe think-戦車/タンク, said: 'While some of these EU quangos 成し遂げる 価値のある work, many others serve no practical 目的 どれでも apart from soaking up taxpayers’ money.

'Ironically, many of these 団体/死体s would never have 生き残るd the type of 緊縮 programmes that the EU is now 製図/抽選 up for member 明言する/公表するs as Europe fights through its worst 危機 in a 世代.'

The think-戦車/タンク has identified at least ten 機関s that serve no unique 目的 and せねばならない be 廃止するd.

It (人命などを)奪う,主張するs that many others are duplicating work and 示唆するs that the remaining 42 機関s have their 予算s 削減(する) by 30 per cent.

This would save EU member 明言する/公表するs just over £566million every year, with Britain keeping an extra £82million to spend on more worthwhile 原因(となる)s.

The number of quangos has 速く grown from just three in 1990 to 52 today. The number 二塁打d in just seven years alone from 2004 to last year.

The total cost to European taxpayers now stands is 始める,決める to rise 3.4 per cent from last year and a 大規模な 33.2 per cent compared with 2010, if the (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限’s 予算 is 認可するd.

Over 90 per cent of the cost comes from the 27 EU member 明言する/公表するs ? with Germany’s 出資/貢献 of £400million the highest, followed by フラン (£315million) and Britain.

The 残り/休憩(する) of the 予算 is made up from 非,不,無-EU member 明言する/公表するs such as Norway.

Open Society pointed out that there are 現在/一般に two EU 機関s 特に 献身的な to human 権利s in 新規加入 to 類似の 団体/死体s in member 明言する/公表するs, the 会議 of Europe, the ECHR, a 明確な/細部 EU Commissioner for '根底となる 権利s' and a 範囲 of NGOs.

The think-戦車/タンク also (人命などを)奪う,主張するs in its 報告(する)/憶測 that there is no 証拠 that the £105million-a-year 経済的な and Social 委員会, an “(a)忠告の/(n)警報” 団体/死体 that has 存在するd since the 1950s, has 現実に altered the 結果 of an EU 提案 in 最近の years, and yet it remains in place.

As an evalua tion for the European (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限 結論するd, the system of EU 機関s also “creates an indirect but powerful incentive for spending” taxpayers’ cash.

For example, the European 環境 機関 (EEA) paid a consultancy 会社/堅い £200,000 ーするために 査定する/(税金などを)課す its own マスコミ ニュース報道.

The EEA also spent £250,000 on a ‘living 地図/計画する’ of Europe, created from 5,000 工場/植物s affixed to the outside 塀で囲む of its (警察,軍隊などの)本部 in Copenhagen ーするために 促進する biodiversity.

The facade stayed up for around five months in 2010. On its website, the EEA said it 手配中の,お尋ね者 to 'illustrate the significance of vertical gardens'.

Each board 会合 of the European Food Safety 当局 (EFSA) ? whose 委任統治(領) already overlaps with that of another EU 機関, and whose board only consists of 15 people ? costs ?92,630 on 普通の/平均(する), working out at ?6,175 per member.

In another 熟考する/考慮する, the 経済的な 研究 会議 pointed to the Community 工場/植物 Variety Office, which is given a £10million-a-year 認める, as one of the most pointless

A 報告(する)/憶測 explained that: ‘This 機関 効果的に licenses and manages 知識人 所有物/資産/財産 権利s to new types of 工場/植物s and 刈るs across the EU.

‘保護するing IP is important, but there’s no good 推論する/理由 why this 役割 could not be 成し遂げるd by 国家の IP 機関s (like the the UK’s 知識人 所有物/資産/財産 Office), which could even compete with each other to bring 負かす/撃墜する costs ? 現在/一般に between ?1,200 and ? 2,400 per examination 料金 per 工場/植物.’
