GCSE and A-level pupils could 行方不明になる out on 最高の,を越す 示すs as exam boards '直す/買収する,八百長をする' grades to stop year-on-year rise of pass 率

Pupils 推定する/予想するing GCSE or A-level results this summer could 行方不明になる out on 最高の,を越す grades after exam boards were told to 直す/買収する,八百長をする pass 率s and grades
?to match last year.
The move, 輪郭(を描く)d in a 政策 文書 from the exams regulator Ofqual, is ーするつもりであるd to 停止(させる) year-on-year rises in exam success after the pass 率 急に上がるd for the 29th year in a 列/漕ぐ/騒動 last summer.
This comes after exam boards were ひどく criticised for making errors in papers and 手渡すing out 不公平な grades, as 220,000 pupils 戦う/戦いd for just 40,000 university places.
Getting better all the time: There have been 関心s over the grading system after GCSE and A-level results rose for the 29th year running (とじ込み/提出する picture)
However, critics (人命などを)奪う,主張する it could stop exam-takers from reaching the highest grade that they could have done in other years.
This is the first year in which '類似の 結果s' will be used in both GCSEs and A-levels.
Results will be 予報するd based on previous cohorts and the past 業績/成果 of the exam takers - so at A-level, GCSE grades will be taken into account, and at GCSE level, markers will look at pupils' results from SATs 実験(する)s 老年の 11.
An Ofqual 文書 said of the method: 'If we 目的(とする) for 類似の 結果s, 概略で the same 割合 of students will 達成する each grade as in the previous year..... If necessary we will 要求する exam boards to change their grade 境界s.'
Teachers have (人命などを)奪う,主張するd the move is a return to 'norm 言及/関連d' A-levels,? in which a 直す/買収する,八百長をするd 10 per cent of pupils would be awarded an A grade each year.
Since this was scrapped in 1987, the 百分率 of A grades has risen from 10 per cent to 27 per cent and the pass ネズミ e has gone up from 70 per cent to 97.8 per cent.
精密検査する: Last year, 200,000 pupils submitted papers for 発言/述べるing after (民事の)告訴s over errors in papers and 不公平な grades
Exam boards received a 記録,記録的な/記録する number of (民事の)告訴s last year, with 200,000 resubmitting their papers for 発言/述べるing.
A-levels results will be 解放(する)d on 16 August this year, with GCSE results coming out on 23 August.
THAT'S A FAIL: HOW EXAM BOARDS GOT IT WRONG
The change in the system comes after 論争s over school exams reached new 高さs.
Exam boards were criticised for errors in papers, with AQA 軍隊d to apologise in June for a '混乱させるing' chemistry A-level question that students complained was impossible to answer.
Last month, hundreds of
GCSE and A-level grades had to be changed after OCR markers 追加するd up 得点する/非難する/20s on exam papers wrongly.
There was a スキャンダル last December after an 調査 明らかにする/漏らすd that セミナーs held by examiners were giving teachers 決定的な (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) about papers.
A 長,指導者 examiner at Edexcel was also caught 誇るing about how the board had managed to (疑いを)晴らす 平易な exams with Ofqual.
Nansi Ellis, 長,率いる of education 政策 at the 協会 of Teachers and Lecturers, said: 'If Ofqual is just 確実にするing consistency in exam 基準s with last year then that is good news.
'However, we would be 関心d if any changes mean that students don’t get awarded the grades their hard work 長所s if the grades have been 始める,決める so that a 直す/買収する,八百長をするd 百分率 of students are awarded A*s and As.'
But Ofqual's 長,指導者 (n)役員/(a)執行力のある Glenys Stacey 主張するs 本物の 改良s in teaching and learning 基準s will still be recognised.
The 政策 of '類似の 結果s' was in fact introduced at A-level last year and was one of the 推論する/理由s A* grades only rose from 8.6 per cent to 8.7 per cent.
Headteachers have 警告するd it will make it impossible to 配達する on Education 長官 Michael Gove's 需要・要求する schools 増加する the 百分率 of A* to C grade passes at GCSE in maths and English.
A Department for Education spokesperson said: 'We are 決定するd to raise 基準s across the board. It is 決定的な that all pupils get the grades their work deserves.
'大臣s have been (疑いを)晴らす that it is only fair to every hard-working young person that there is no grade インフレーション or dumbing 負かす/撃墜する in the exams system.'
