Parents of 30 兵士s killed in Afghanistan whose remains were 内密に 保持するd by the Army may never be told what has happened to them.

The 王室の 軍の Police spent yesterday 接触するing the horrified 親族s of those whose 団体/死体 parts were 不法に stashed away after the Mail 暴露するd the スキャンダル.

But the 省 of Defence 認める it would 知らせる only the ‘指名するd next of 肉親,親類’ of those 兵士s 影響する/感情d, usually a spouse.

Serving 兵士s 表明するd 関心 that in families torn apart by the 強調する/ストレス of bereavement some parents would have no idea what had happened to their loved ones.

As the MoD moved to 含む/封じ込める the 列/漕ぐ/騒動, 労働 需要・要求するd an 調査 by the ありふれたs defence select 委員会 and called for 上級の officers responsible to be held to account.

But not all parents will even know if their child’s remains have been mishandled.

‘明らかに (the MoD) will only be 通知するing next of 肉親,親類, so parents will either find out through wives or girlfriends if they see fit, or won’t be told at all. They will therefore not have any say in the burial or 処分 of the 団体/死体 parts.’

The MoD says its 優先 is to 接触する the families 影響する/感情d but ‘appropriate 活動/戦闘’ could be taken against individuals ‘where 予定 過程 hasn’t been followed’.

Last night 労働 MP Thomas Docherty, who sits on the defence select 委員会, wrote to the chairman, Tory James Arbuthnot, 勧めるing an 調査 once the MoD has 完全にするd its work.

An Army 広報担当者 said it had carried out a ‘包括的な audit’ into the ‘事例/患者s where 法廷の 構成要素 was 保持するd beyond the time it was 要求するd for 調査s’.
