A serial car 犯罪の was today 刑務所，拘置所d for life for 殺人ing a 勇敢に立ち向かう 年輩の man who was 鎮圧するd to death while trying to stop his 4x4 存在 stolen.

James Simpson, 76, was left dying in the street after どろぼう Christopher Grenfell, 25, took his Land Rover 発見 from his driveway and 逆転するd over him.

The 出来事/事件, which w as 証言，証人／目撃するd by Mr Simpson's wife of 46 years, Minnie, happened outside the pensioner's home in Ashgill, South Lanarkshire.

Grenfell was also 罪人／有罪を宣告するd of breaking into Mr Simpson’s house to steal the car 重要なs and, along with a second man, 24-year-old William MacVicar, was 設立する 有罪の of car 窃盗.

The pair stole Mr Simpson’s 4x4 from outside his home on November 29 last year.

Grenfell, of Larkhall, Lanarkshire, was banned from the road at the time of the 殺人 after 存在 罪人／有罪を宣告するd of dangerous 運動ing.

He paid 尊敬の印 to his father as a man 'filled with passion and compassion in equal 対策'.

'He cared 心から about people and would not hesitate to 申し込む／申し出 help and advice to anyone where he was in a position to help,' he said.

'He met life with a 肯定的な and unquestioning 楽観主義.'
