Rising numbers of 最初の／主要な school pupils are playing truant, with more than 23,000 skipping lessons each day of the spring 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語 this year.

Parents who took their children on 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語-time holidays without 許可 were 責任がある a fifth of ‘unauthorised absences’ 記録，記録的な／記録するd by 最初の／主要な schools.

The 政府 also 計画（する）s to toughen up the 支配するs on 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語-time holidays so that schools are permitted to 許す them only in ‘exceptional circumstances’.

長，率いるs have discretion to 認める up to ten days’ 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語-time holiday a year but 大臣s are 関心d the 力／強力にするs are 存在 乱用d.

Many parents are tempted to 避ける taking breaks during school holidays because prices are often higher.

However, if they fail to 伸び（る） the 長，率いる’s 同意 for 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語-time absence, the holiday is classed as ‘unauthorised’ and may attract a 位置／汚点／見つけ出す 罰金.

‘The 最新の 人物／姿／数字s show that agreed 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語-time holidays are 減ずるing, which is encouraging, but 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語-time holidays still remain a 重要な 推論する／理由 for absence,’ a Department for Education 公式の／役人 said.

‘If children are taken away for a two-week holiday every year and have an 普通の／平均（する） number of days off for sickness and 任命s, then by the time they leave at 16 they will have 行方不明になるd an entire year of schooling.’

Nick Gibb, the Schools 大臣, said: ‘Children who …に出席する school 定期的に are four times more likely to 達成する five or more good GCSEs, 含むing English and maths, than those who are 断固としてやる absent.

Yesterday’s 人物／姿／数字s show that while truancy rose at 最初の／主要な level, it stayed the same in 第２位s, with pupils 行方不明の 1.4 per cent of 登録 開会／開廷／会期s ? about 39,500 pupils a day dodging lessons.

But it rose in 最初の／主要なs, from 4.6 per cent to 4.7 per cent.

Charlie Taylor, the 政府’s behaviour tsar, called on schools to instil good habits 早期に on.
