Brett Ewins says he cannot 解任する 申し立てられた／疑わしい attack

A renowned comic artist who drew 裁判官 Dredd tried to 削除する a police officer’s throat after he was called to a 騒動 at his house, a 法廷，裁判所 heard.

Police went to 調査／捜査する after 審理，公聴会 shouting and ranting coming from the west London home of Brett Ewins, 56, best known for his work on the 裁判官 Dredd and Rogue 州警察官，騎馬警官 （土地などの）細長い一片s in the acclaimed comic 2000 AD.

They were 直面するd by Ewins w ielding a four-インチ kitchen knife when they went inside, Isleworth 栄冠を与える 法廷，裁判所 was told.

To defend themselves PC Andrew McKelvie and his partner Matthew Harries sprayed Ewins with pepper spray and 攻撃する，衝突する him twice on the arm but he kept coming at them, a 陪審／陪審員団 heard.

Mr Allen 追加するd: 'This all happened on January 14 this year at around 8.30am on a Saturday morning.

'Two police officers were called to an 演説（する）／住所 in Hanwell, west London. While they were there they heard Mr Ewins shouting and ranting next door.

'They went into his house to try to 妨げる a beach of the peace. When the officer’s went inside the 被告 grabbed a kitchen knife, like the type used to 削減（する） vegetables, and began to get very 積極的な.

'The officers sprayed him with CS spray but it had no 影響. One of the officers then struck him on the arm twice with his asp but still it did not stop him.

'When the officer thought he was in 切迫した danger of 存在 stabbed he struck him on the 長，率いる.

'Mr Ewins stabbed に向かって his neck, but the officer put his arm up to try and 保護する himself and the knife 急落（する），激減（する）d into his arm.'

The 法廷，裁判所 heard the 負傷させるd officer was able to escape and PC Harries 抑制するd Ewins on the 床に打ち倒す until 支援する up arrived.

Mr Allan continued: 'As a result of that Mr Ewins 苦しむd a cardiac 逮捕（する） outside the 所有物／資産／財産.

'He was given CPR by the police officers and paramedics and taken to hospital where he remained for three weeks until he made a 回復.'

When Ewins, who now walks with a walking stick, was interviewed about the 出来事/事件 he said he could not remember any of it.

The artist, who has been 診断するd with paranoid schizophrenia and is on 医薬, is 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金d with grievous bodily 害（を与える） with 意図.

He 収容する／認めるs stabbing the officer, but （人命などを）奪う，主張するs he was 事実上の／代理 involuntarily after 存在 struck on the 長，率いる.

An 専門家 証言，証人／目撃する for the defence will say the blow sent him into a 明言する／公表する of unconsciousness 類似の to sleepwalking so he did not know what he was doing.

Mr Allan told the 陪審／陪審員団: 'The defence are not going to be 示唆するing that he was insane rather he did not know what he was doing.

'We say you can infer from the way he was behaving and ありふれた sense that when he stabbed this officer in the arm he ーするつもりであるd to 原因（となる） him really serious bodily 害（を与える）.'
