A combination of terrible 天候, bad 収穫s, 憶測 and 'political drift' has 与える/捧げるd to the end of low food prices, food 専門家s 発表するd today.

Tim Lang, Professor of Food 政策 at City University, and Lord Haskins of Skidby, a 農業者 and former chairman of Northern Foods, spoke on BBC 無線で通信する 4's Today programme to 発言する/表明する their 関心s about the woeful 明言する/公表する of British food prices.

The pair both agreed that a variety of factors had 原因(となる)d the cost of 必須のs, such as fruit and vegetables, to ロケット/急騰する.

Professor Lang said that bad 天候 had 手足を不自由にする/(物事を)損なうd 収穫s 世界的な, with the UK, America, Russia and ウクライナ共和国 不正に 影響する/感情d by the poor 条件s.

This has had a knock on 影響 on food prices, sending the cost of 穀物s, fruit and vegetables 急に上がるing, which has 攻撃する,衝突する the 底(に届く) ten per cent of income 世帯s.

Prof Lang said: 'Fruit prices are up 34 per cent in the last 5 years and low income 世帯s are cutting 支援する. This is a 災害 for public health.'

As the price of 穀物 is 急に上がるing, this has a knock-on 影響 on meat, as a large 部分 of the 刈るs are grown for animal 料金d.

He also 警告するd that he and others in his field believed that the 時代 of low food prices were over and 勧めるd 政治家,政治屋s to 焦点(を合わせる) on 取り組むing the problem.

He said: 'I don't think prices will come 負かす/撃墜する.
