Frenchman Jeremy Marie has spent five years travelling over 100,000 miles around the world, relying all the way on the 親切 of strangers for a 解放する/自由な ride.
From trekking in 50C heat through the 砂漠s of Sudan to 勇敢に立ち向かうing 気温s of -20C while catching a 解除する in カザフ共和国, Mr Marie has visited over 71 countries.
The 29-year-old globetrotter has hitched 解除するs with cars, boats, 計画(する)s and even a donkey since he 始める,決める off from Caen, Normandy in October 2007.

Remarkably にもかかわらず his 180,000km trip, Jeremy has not paid a penny に向かって his 輸送(する) and instead relied on the generosity of strangers to give him a 解放する/自由な ride.

He said: 'My passion for travelling (機の)カム when I stayed with a ポーランドの(人) family as part of a school foreign 交流 trip.
'This 願望(する) to travel led me to live a year abroad, when I went to live in むちの跡s.During this year I also had the 適切な時期 to visit England and Ireland. It was in the green and very hilly city of Dublin I had my first taste of hitchhiking.?

'I like to hitchhike, it's a good way to 会合,会う people and you get to see the world from a 地元の's point of 見解(をとる) and see and experience things a tourist wouldn't usually be able to.
'When I (機の)カム 支援する from むちの跡s. I started a 小旅行する of Eur ope with a friend. we hitchiked our way through Germany, Czech 共和国, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, England and フラン.
'The next 論理(学)の step was to travel the world so I 始める,決める myself the goal of 小旅行するing the world by hitch-引き上げ(る)ing.
'Hitchhiking makes it possible to 会合,会う 地元の people, it makes it easier to make friends on your travels.
'Another 利益 of hitch-引き上げ(る)ing is by 存在 a 歩行者 you have greater freedom, all I had was a 捕らえる、獲得する and I had the freedom to go wherever I liked, whenever I liked.

' Hitchhiking is not just a means of travel, it is an unexplainable passion, I go and find a good 位置/汚点/見つけ出す on the 道端 and raise my thumb. I then wait anxiously to see if the car 示すs, if the driver lowers their window.
'If they do, they take my 捕らえる、獲得する, I get in and talk to the driver and/or 乗客s, people I would never 普通は have had the chance to 会合,会う.
'It was a long experience and took over five years but it gave me the 適切な時期 to see places that are いつかs difficult to get to.
'I've visited 71 countries in total from Italy, and Asia to the USA and Canada.

'Some countries are very 平易な to hitchhike around, New Zealand was 広大な/多数の/重要な the people are very friendly, the roads are good and there was no danger of miscommunication.
'But it was difficult in the US as it's against the 法律 to hitch 引き上げ(る) there, so people were very 気が進まない to stop and 申し込む/申し出 me a 解除する.'
'It was 質 time, time to think about the meaning of life,"Marie says of his boat trips.
Mr Marie said the best part of his trip was managing to hitch a 解除する 船内に a 45-foot 帆船 in Cartagena, where the British captain took him on as a crewmate.

The four month 旅行 took Jeremy across the 太平洋の Ocean where he visited Tonga the Galapagos islands, パナマ, Auckland and New Zealand.
Mr Marie said: 'This was definitely my favourite part of my trip. It was 質 time, time to think about the meaning of life, without worrying where the next 解除する would come from.'
'Hitchhiking has given me the 適切な時期 to see so much of the world, it is the best way to travel.
'いつかs I felt 脅すd, there's good and bad people everywhere and so you have to be careful about who you choose to 信用 when you're hitchhiking.
'I met my girlfriend in Bali, Indonesia while I was travelling and hitched a 解除する with a 操縦する to come 支援する here.
'I'm now living here 令状ing a 調書をとる/予約する about my 旅行.'
