At least, that is によれば the Old 農業者’s Almanac.

The 222-year-old 定期刊行物, which is believed to be the oldest continuously published 定期刊行物 in the US, has 予報するd 'colder-than-普通の／平均（する） 気温s' this winter with 'higher-than-普通の／平均（する） 降雪'.

The Dublin, New Hampshire-based Almanac, which 解放（する）d its 2014 版 today, says a 減少（する） in solar activity and a change in ocean patterns are the 推論する／理由s behind the cooler 気温s.

‘This winter will bring bitter 冷淡な and 豪雪 across most of the US,’ says the 出版（物）, which 名付ける／吹き替えるs itself as 'useful, with a pleasant degree of humour'.

It says the 冷淡な 天候 will 影響する／感情 every 地域 of the US except for the lower 広大な／多数の／重要な Lakes, the upper Midwest and the northern 明言する／公表するs of the Northeast.?

‘Sweaters and snow shovels should be unpacked 早期に and kept の近くに by throughout the season,’ said Janice Stillman, editor of the 年次の 定期刊行物.

The Old 農業者's Almanac has also 予報するd the country will experience a warmer, drier spring with above-普通の／平均（する） 気温s.

It 警告するs that 干ばつ will be a ‘problem’ during summer in several areas, such as the southern tip of Florida; from New England 西方の through the Lower Lakes and Upper Midwest; from Texas and Oklahoma 西方の through the 砂漠 南西; and in the upper 太平洋の Northwest.

The 定期刊行物 also （人命などを）奪う，主張するs there will be more 降雨 than normal with an ‘active ハリケーン season’.

It 予報するs a major ハリケーン will make landfall on the central 湾 coast in July and several ハリケーンs and 熱帯の 嵐／襲撃するs will 脅す Florida and the 大西洋 seaboard in September next year.

Last month, the Maine-based 農業者s' Almanac, which has been published for 197 years, said much the same.

However, some scientists have 反駁するd the two 定期刊行物s' meteorologic 査定／評価s.

Pennsylvania 明言する／公表する University 気象学者 Paul Knight said that the 農業者s' Almanac makes 予測（する）s, which are so vague that it is difficult to 査定する／（税金などを）課す whether they are 正確な or not.

In a 報告（する）／憶測 published on the university's news website, Mr Knight 明言する／公表するs: 'The ability to 予報する events that far in 前進する is 無. There's no proven 技術, there's no technique that's agreed upon in science to be able to do that.

In its bicentennial 版, the Almanac 明言する／公表するd, 'neither we nor anyone else has as yet 伸び（る）d 十分な insight into the mysteries of the universe to 予報する 天候 with anything 似ているing total 正確.'

However, によれば the new 2014 版 of the Old 農業者’s Almanac, their 予測（する） for last year’s winter was ‘nearly perfect’.

‘We were 訂正する in our 予測（する） 気温 change from the previous winter in 15 of the 16 地域s ? 産する／生じるing an 正確 率 greater than 94 per cent.’

And therefore, Old 農業者’s Almanac leaves its advice, as a 冷気／寒がらせるing 思い出の品: ‘Gather your jackets and light up a 解雇する／砲火／射撃! It is going to be 冷淡な outside!’
