Clegg wants to soak the rick but is 警告するd mansion 税金 won't work

Damning: Vicky Pryce says it is a 'myth' that 税金ing high value 所有物/資産/財産 could be a source of income for the 政府

Nick Clegg stepped up calls for higher 税金s on the 豊富な, as he signalled soaking the rich will be a 重要な 需要・要求する of the Lib Dems at the next 選挙.

He said the party's かかわり合い to a mansion 税金 on 所有物/資産/財産s over £2 million, raising £2 billion, sent a signal that 'even though we are committed to 赤字 削減' that would not be 達成するd 完全に through spending 削減(する)s.

He told the BBC: 'Taxes and 特に 税金s on people who can afford it, have to play some 役割 in the 現在進行中の 成果/努力 to making sure that we 完全にする the 職業 of filling the 黒人/ボイコット 穴を開ける in the public 財政/金融s.

'If the 保守的なs don't want to do that then they need to tell people, and that's part of the 審議 we will have to have over the next year-and-a-half, what they will 削減(する) - schools or hospitals or 年金s or police or the 武装した services - to (不足などを)補う that £2 billion.'

However Mr Clegg's 計画(する)s for a ‘mansion 税金’ have been savaged by Vicky Pryce ? former wife of 不名誉d Lib Dem MP Chris Huhne.

Ms Pryce says it is a ‘myth’ that 税金ing homes 価値(がある) more than £2?million will be a ‘魔法 source of income’ for the 政府.

Ms Pryce, who will …に出席する the Lib Dem 会議/協議会 in Glasgow, 解任するs the whole idea of a mansion 税金, which has been 封鎖するd by the 保守的なs.

In an article for today’s Mail on Sunday, she says: ‘It is a 税金 that is 始める,決める at an 独断的な level with no? 経済的な justification for that level or the 率 課すd ? except to raise a 確かな 量 of money’ and ‘a mantra for those who feel there is a hidden 貯蔵所 of 税金s just waiting to be tapped’.

Ms Pryce also pointedly 同意しないs with her friend Vince Cable, the 商売/仕事 長官, who has raised 恐れるs that 連合 計画(する)s for low-deposit mortgages could lead to a new house price 泡.

‘There are 関心s over a 住宅 market 泡 ? 表明するd by Vince Cable no いっそう少なく ? but I don’t 株 them,’ she says.
