He lost his 脚 in a horrific motorbike 衝突，墜落 four years ago.

But that has not stopped adrenaline junkie Jozef Metelka 実行するing his 冒険的な dreams.

The 27-year-old is the owner of 12 特に （手先の）技術d prosthetic 脚s, 許すing him to compete in cycling races across the world and become a professional ski 指導者.

Slovakian-born Mr Metelka, from Abingdon in Oxfordshire, was 熟考する／考慮するing sports and coaching at Oxford Brookes University when he lost his lower left 脚 in March 2009.

He said: 'The 事故 turned my world upside 負かす／撃墜する but as soon as I could get out of hospital I was 支援する in the gym and trying to 演習 as I was doing before.

'It was very 失望させるing in the beginning as I had to get used to the crutches and it was difficult for me to come to 条件 with the fact that I didn't have my foot.

'My first prosthetic was from the NHS and it helped me through the first few weeks after my 操作／手術 but it soon became 明らかな that for me to continue my 冒険的な lifestyle I was going to need something more.'

Answering his calls, PACE Rehabilitation, a group based in Cheadle, Cheshire worked with Mr Metelka? to develop the specialist prosthetics, each tailored to help him 参加する a wide 範囲 of sports.

The group have fit the 27-year-old with 修正するd 脚s for cycling, skiing, while the team are 現在／一般に working on a 脚 to 許す him to roller blade.

Since the motorbike 事故 in 2009 Mr Metelka has competed in cycling 競争s across the world, thanks to the 特に

JOZEF'S 12 PROSTHETIC LEGS

PACE Rehabilitation in Cheadle, Cheshire have developed 12 特に （手先の）技術d 脚s for Mr Metelka.

They 許す him to:

Mountain bike

Snowboard

Snowboard off piste

Run

Ski

Ski off piste

Rollerblade

He also has a cosmetic 脚 and a bionic model 同様に as three spare 四肢s for skiing and cycling.

Mr Metelka, who has been skiing and mountain biking since he was three and playing tennis since he was six, could not imagine a life without sport.

'Losing my 脚 was the worst thing which could have happened to me but I have made the best of it and thankfully the 科学（工学）技術 is there nowadays,' he 追加するd.

'I have been helped by some very good people and I truly believe there is nothing I can't do.'

Since doctors amputated his 脚 in 2009, the professional ski 指導者 said he has not 行方不明になるd one season on the slopes.

He also regul arly competes in 世界的な cycling events, often placing in the 最高の，を越す three - thanks to his mountain biking 脚.

But the sports lover's favourite prosthetic is his newest 新規加入 - a £55,000 力／強力にする 補助装置d ankle.

賞賛するing the team that has helped him, the 27-year-old said: 'I have been helped by some very good people and I truly believe there is nothing I can't do'

It is the first prosthetic foot to 供給する energy to the 使用者, 許すing Mr Metelka to walk faster and use いっそう少なく 力／強力にする.

He said: 'I try to 焦点（を合わせる） as much of my energy to these high level activities, so it's important that I 残り／休憩（する） when I can.

'Using my bionic foot for everyday use 許すs me to use いっそう少なく energy, but I still walk faster. It's unlike any other design I have tried, it's as if my amputated 脚 has come alive and I have my foot 支援する.'

Mr Metelka has no pl ans to stop 努力する／競うing to 達成する more and is looking 今後 to trying out the next 新規加入, a rollerblading 脚, which is 現在／一般に 存在 designed.

He 追加するd: 'The rollerblading 脚 is a bit of fun, but I really want to get into it. I can't wait to 追加する it to my 脚 collection.'
