This is the 劇の moment a shopkeeper chased away a knife-（権力などを）行使するing 'robber' with a 政治家 that operates the shutters in his 蓄える／店.

Alfie Thevar, 33, 恐らく used the item in self defence after the masked 凶漢 broke into his shop in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

He grabbed the 政治家 and brandished it at the 申し立てられた／疑わしい robber - 原因（となる）ing him to 逃げる the 蓄える／店 empty-手渡すd.

Mr Thevar, a 王室の 海軍 新採用する, then chased the 凶漢 負かす／撃墜する the street while his wife, Chris, and two young children, Caleb, 4, and Jose, eight months, 避難所d in rooms above the shop.

CCTV 逮捕（する）d the shocking 出来事/事件, which took place at the corner 蓄える／店 in Bentham just after 11pm on February 24.

However, as he yanks open the 最高の，を越す tray of the cash 登録（する）, he 流出／こぼすs 文書s all over the 床に打ち倒す - giving Mr Thevar time to 得る，とらえる the long 政治家.

The furious shopkeeper then 脅すs the 申し立てられた／疑わしい robber with the 一時しのぎの物，策 武器, before chasing him out of the shop and 負かす／撃墜する the road.

Today, Mr Thevar said he had grabbed the 政治家 after misplacing the baseball bat he usually keeps under the till for safety 推論する／理由s.

'When he first （機の）カム in I thought he was one of my 顧客s taking the mickey,' said the father-of-two.

'It took me a few seconds to realise that somebody was 現実に 脅すing me. I told him, "静める 負かす／撃墜する mate, 静める 負かす／撃墜する, this is not 権利". I didn't want him to take a 厳しい 決定／判定勝ち（する） by stabbing me or throwing the knife at me.

'But then he went for the tills and that's when I just lost it. I 普通は have a baseball bat behind here but I couldn't find it. I think it must have rolled under the fridge.'

'Just imagine if my wife had been standing here with our eight month baby and four-year-old son. He was asking me all night: 'Dad, are you all 権利?'"

Police 非常線，警戒線d off the 小道／航路 に引き続いて the 出来事/事件, while a ヘリコプター was 派遣（する）d to search for the 犯人.

A 22-year-old man was later 逮捕（する）d on 疑惑 of 強盗, and is 現在／一般に helping police with their enquiries.

Mr Thevar, who was born in a カトリック教徒 飛び領土 of Mumbai, said he was trying to move on from the 出来事/事件 and was 準備するing for his 海軍 training at the end of June.

'I want to give something 支援する to the country,' he said. 'My grandfather was a librarian who worked for Englishmen in India, and they left him some 調書をとる／予約するs about the 王室の 海軍.

'I've worked hard, and I have stayed out of trouble, and I have waited eight years to join the 海軍.'
