A young mother died from a large abscess on her brain six weeks after 存在 sent home by her GP with 抗生物質s to 扱う／治療する earache, an 検死 has heard.

悲劇の Zoe Adams, 28, died last year after medics put her symptoms - 含むing ear and 長，率いる 苦痛, and 発射する／解雇する from her left ear - 負かす／撃墜する to a ‘比較して minor’ 感染.

But a 検死官 結論するd that doctors couldn’t have done any more to save the ‘極端に unlucky’ mother-of-three, who 崩壊（する）d and died in Wythenshawe Hospital on March 21 last year.

A 最高の，を越す ear, nose and throat 外科医, Andrew Camilleri, who carried out an 調査 for the hospital into Ms Adams' death, told the 検死 that there was around a one-in-4,000 chance of an ear 感染 主要な to a brain abscess.

He said he was 満足させるd the hospital had taken all the steps possible to 扱う／治療する 行方不明になる Adams and said by looking at her, no-one would have 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うd she had a brain abscess.

The 法廷，裁判所 heard from medics - two doctors who had seen Ms Adams in the weeks before her death and two nurses who had taken calls from her - who said Ms Adams’ symptoms were 一貫した with nothing more than an ear 感染.

In fact, the mother-of-three had developed a middle ear 感染 which had led to a large 4cm abscess developing on the left 味方する of her brain.

The 審理，公聴会 was told the 悲劇 began on February 12 last year after 行方不明になる Adams, from Rusholme, Manchester went to see her GP Dr Praful Patel complaining of 苦痛s in her ear.

The doctor 診察するd her ear 含むing the bone structure but thought the symptoms pointed to an outer ear 感染.

He 定める／命ずるd her with 抗生物質s and asked her to come 支援する in three weeks if she did not get any better.

On March 1 行方不明になる Adams called a triage nurse working for the Out-of-Hours Go To Doc service 説 her ear was 'very painful' and was 'nine out of ten' on the 苦痛 規模.

She was referred to a doctor at an out-of-hours 外科 based at Wythenshawe Hospital who thought it was an 感染 of the middle ear but 定める／命ずるd 抗生物質s and advised her to come 支援する in a few days if the 苦痛 固執するd or became worse.

On March 16, 行方不明になる Adams spoke to another out-of-hours nurse complaining of 頭痛 and earache and four days later she was 認める to hospital.

The Manchester 審理，公聴会 was told after her admission, she did not 陳列する，発揮する 調印するs of illness, such as 最高気温 or changed mental 明言する／公表する, that could have 誘発するd doctors to send her for a brain ざっと目を通す that might have discovered the abscess.

Although she was seen to be very distant the night be fore she died, that was put 負かす／撃墜する to the 圧力s of 対処するing with young children.

She last seen alive going to the 洗面所 at around 4am after 存在 kept in hospital 夜通し. She died on the 区 later that day.

検死官 Nigel Meadows said Zoe Adams was 'incredibly unlucky' 説 the 欠如（する） of other symptoms gave doctors little chance of 診断するing a brain abscess because of her '強健な 憲法'

Mr Meadows said the out-of-hours service had taken a sensibly 用心深い approach to 行方不明になる Adams' 条件 and he thought they could not have done anymore to 妨げる her death.

Mr Meadows said 行方不明になる Adams did not 陳列する，発揮する any normal 調印するs of somebody with a cerebral abscess and 追加するd: 'Zoe has just been 極端に unlucky to 契約 this 感染 and to have a 強健な 憲法.'

'Even if she was given a 緊急 CT ざっと目を通す the night she died then there is also no 証拠 to 示唆する she would have been able to be saved.

'It is a very unfortunate 一連の events. The 広大な 大多数 of people who have ear 感染s don't have a cerebral abscess. She has been 極端に unlucky to 契約 this 感染.'
He 追加するd: 'Zoe has just been 極端に unlucky to 契約 this 感染 and to have a 強健な 憲法 [that meant doctors could not tell she had an abscess].'

Speaking afterwards, Ms Adams’ mum, Michelle Holt, said she 受託するd the 判決, 追加するing: 'It’s been a very, very hard time. My daughter was like me and had a very strong 苦痛 threshold.'

Brain abcesses are incredibly rare in Britain with most neurosurgeons 推定する／予想するing to 扱う／治療する at most four 患者s a year.
