A mother-of-two who cooked Sunday lunch for her family before going upstairs to 殺人 her own mother was 刑務所，拘置所d for life yesterday.

Angela Douglas had 負かす／撃墜するd two-and-a-half 瓶／封じ込めるs of ワイン when she smothered 73 year-old Anne Matthews with a pillow in Plymouth, Devon.

The 49-year-old （人命などを）奪う，主張するd she was 事実上の／代理 ‘out of love’ after watching her 年輩の mother struggle with emphysema.

But a 法廷，裁判所 heard the pensioner, a former smoker who 重さを計るd いっそう少なく than five 石／投石する, was not terminally ill.

裁判官 Graham Cottle said alcohol 'was a major factor' in Douglas' 決定／判定勝ち（する） to kill her mother, and was not a result of mental illness.

The 法廷，裁判所 heard how Douglas and her partner Shane had visited her mother and father David, 72, last April.

She cooked the family Sunday lunch, drank ワイン and took her mother a cup of tea and 薄焼きパン／素焼陶器s in bed.

Her father then went upstairs and 設立する her ひさまづくing and crying over her unconscious mother.

An 救急車 was called but, when paramedics entered her bedroom, Douglas told them: 'I don’t want you to do anything, she’s been through enough.'

裁判官 Cottle said he had 'no 疑問' Douglas was 圧倒するd by the sight of her mum’s 苦しむing and that her 決定／判定勝ち（する） was spontaneous and not premeditated.

But he told her: 'The fact that her lifespan was in any 見解（をとる） short did not make her life any いっそう少なく precious.

'It was a life 保護するd by the 法律 and you took the selfish 決定／判定勝ち（する） to end it.

'Your 本物の 悔恨 will live with you until the end of your days and that in itself is a very 相当な 罰.'

検察官，検事 ツバメ Meeke QC said Mrs. Matthews, who had two other daughters, had been 戦う／戦いing chronic obstructive pulmonary 病気.

She was 解放（する）d from hospital a couple of weeks before her death before 存在 visited at home by a social 労働者 and an occupational therapist.

He said Douglas 自白するd to her partner that she had put a pillow over her mum’s 直面する and killed her.

Douglas, a shop 労働者, called the 政治家 ice herself within hours of the 出来事/事件 and was 逮捕（する）d.

When questioned she told them she killed her mother 'out of love' because she didn’t want to see her 苦しむ.

She told them: 'I tried to kill my mother. I smothered her with a pillow. I love my mum, I can’t stand to see her like that.'

Psychiatrist Dr Michael Alcock told the 法廷，裁判所 that Douglas, of Plymouth, Devon, was 苦しむing from a recognised mental disorder called '調整 disorder' when she 'snapped' and killed her mother.

However a second 専門家, 顧問 法廷の psychiatrist Dr John Sandford, said there was no 証拠 to 示唆する she was 苦しむing from the 強調する／ストレス-関係のある 医療の 条件.
