Silly stunt: Judy and the rubber chicken. Her Grand 激突する of public 外見s and lucrative 商売/仕事 かかわり合いs that could make her more than £150,000 in a year

Andy Murray may have 巡航するd through the 開始 一連の会議、交渉/完成するs of Wimbledon as 統治するing 支持する/優勝者 ― but it’s his mum Judy who has taken on a Grand 激突する of public 外見s and lucrative 商売/仕事 かかわり合いs that could make her more than £150,000 in a year.

Her week started with an ありそうもない 外見 on 無線で通信する 4’s 砂漠 Island レコードs.

Then we 証言,証人/目撃するd her ‘ambassadorship’ for Lavazza coffee? ― as part of a 取引,協定 thought to be 価値(がある) around £25,000, 54-year-old Judy was seen helping to dispense 解放する/自由な coffee to Wimbledon fans, and manning a coffee 立ち往生させる with former Wimbledon champ Goran Ivanisevic and Rafa Nadal’s uncle-coach Tony.

A bigger かかわり合い is her を取り引きする Robinsons, the drinks brand that has had a 共同 with Wimbledon for more than 100 years.

の中で other advertising 投機・賭けるs and coaching 率先s, she has filmed a 一連の comic skits with former British No 1 Tim Henman, 審議ing whether part of Wimbledon should be called ‘Henman Hill’ or ‘Murray 開始する’.

The Robinsons 取引,協定, 価値(がある) around £50,000 and 仲買人d by the 主要な sports 機関 IMG, led her this week to 参加する a stunt in which she was photographed bo uncing a rubber chicken on a tennis racquet.

In past years tennis fans struggled to take Judy to their hearts ― all that 握りこぶし-pumping and clenched 侵略 made her appear too pushy.

But after Andy’s victory last year, and 補佐官d by a makeover that turned her into a glamorous white-blonde, Judy is 存在 seen in a new light. At least, that is the 計画(する).

In a long junior and 上級の tennis career she won 64 Scottish 肩書を与えるs but her victories were never translated into international success.

Instead she 開始する,打ち上げるd herself into coaching, and her dream now is to 開始する,打ち上げる a tennis 学院 in Scotland, preferably 近づく the Murrays’ home town of Dunblane.

‘This is my big goal. I want it to be something to leave behind,’ she has said. But she needs more than £15 million in 初期の 基金ing, and there will be 激しい 維持/整備 costs thereafter ― hence the 取引,協定s with Lavazza and Robinsons, and another as a ‘brand 外交官/大使’ for 長,率いる, the racquet 製造者.

It was Judy, rather than Andy, who gave a cover interview to the 無線で通信する Times pre-Wimbledon, in which she spoke about the Dunblane 狙撃 大虐殺 at Andy’s 最初の/主要な school.

She has also started an online column for BT Sport ― and now there are unconfirmed 報告(する)/憶測s that she will be a contestant on the next 一連の 厳密に Come Dancing.

A fan of the BBC show, she would be paid £25,000 to take part, rising to £60,000 if she makes the 4半期/4分の1-決勝戦 and up to £ 75,000 for the 半分s.?

追加する in newspaper interviews and shameless flirting with the young comedian Jack Whitehall on his BBC3 Backchat show, and you have what appears to be a 一致した マスコミ blitz.

Indeed, a ちらりと見ること at Judy’s Twitter (@Judmoo) 明らかにする/漏らすs a マスコミ-savvy woman enjoying her moment in the sun.

This week she has plugged her sponsored activities, sent out daily words of 激励 to Andy and his new coach Amelie Mauresmo, and kept 信奉者s up to date with her hectic social schedule.

If she is heartbroken by her 分裂(する) from long-称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 part ner Phil Reid, she is hiding it 井戸/弁護士席. They were together for about five years but are thought to have parted in January.

While Judy travels the world supporting Andy and his brother Jamie at tennis tournaments, Andy’s girlfriend Kim stays 大部分は at home.

Coaching is still Judy’s 長,指導者 passion― and turning that Murray Tennis 学院 into a reality. And if that means having to bounce a rubber chicken on a purple novelty tennis racquet for her sponsors, then so be it.
