This week a 地方裁判所 at The Hague decided that members of the Dutchbat 軍隊 could have known the 難民s would be 大虐殺d if they did not help them - and were therefore liable for their deaths.

The 法廷，裁判所 said the Netherlands was not liable for the deaths of those who had fled into the forests surrounding Srebrenica, where many of the men and boys were later buried in 集まり 墓／厳粛／彫る／重大なs.
Although those people had 保護 in the UN 安全な 港／避難所 they were never 直接／まっすぐに in the 保護／拘留 of the Dutch 軍隊／機動隊s, the 法廷，裁判所 支配するd.
'Dutchbat cannot be held liable for their 運命／宿命,' the 判決，裁定 read.
In an emotionally-告発（する），告訴（する）／料金d 審理，公聴会 …に出席するd by a handful of 犠牲者s' 親族s, the 裁判官 said the （国連の）平和維持軍s should have known that the men taken from the 構内／化合物 would be 殺害された because there was already 証拠 of the セルビア人s committing war 罪，犯罪s.
'By co-operating in the 国外追放 of these men, Dutchbat 行為／法令／行動するd unlawfully,' 裁判官 Alwin said.
The 判決，裁定 could 始める，決める a precedent with 関わりあい／含蓄s for 未来 peacekeeping （軍隊などの）展開，配備s by the Netherlands or other countries.

'At the moment that the men were sent away, Dutchbat knew or should have known that the 集団殺戮 was taking place and therefore there was a serious 危険 that those men would be killed,' said 裁判官 Peter Blok.
The 失敗 of Dutch 兵士s to 保護する the イスラム教徒 men and boys of Srebrenica had 深い repercussions, 与える／捧げるing to the 辞職 of the Dutch 政府 in 2002.
親族s of the dead welcomed the 限られた／立憲的な finding of 義務／負債 but lamented that it did not go その上の.

A lawyer for the 親族s, Marco Gerritsen, said he would 熟考する／考慮する the 89-page 判決，裁定 before deciding whether to 控訴，上告.
It remains to be seen what 影響 the 判決，裁定 will have on UN 新規採用 for peacekeeping 使節団s.
Dutch Defence 省 spokes man Klaas Meijder said the Dutch 政府 began 主張するing on 厳格な人 保護（する）／緊急輸入制限s for its 軍隊／機動隊s 伴う／関わるd in UN 使節団s after the Srebrenica 大虐殺, but would not 推測する on whether Wednesday's 判決，裁定 would have a その上の 衝撃.
