Growing up she was an active young girl with a passion for 運動競技のs who enjoyed （軍の）野営地，陣営ing trips in the bush with her parents and climbing trees.

But at the age of 13, Anita Metcalf's life began to change as she lost her energy and 運動 and started to 苦しむ unexplained 苦痛s.

It took 28 years for her to receive a diagnosis because the Australian 政府 believes there is 'little 証拠' of Lyme 病気 存在するing in Australia.

To this day, a 声明 on the NSW 政府 health website says: 'Although 地元で-acquired Lyme borreliosis cannot be 支配するd out, there is little 証拠 that it occurs in Australia.'
