Jeremy Clarkson said yesterday that ‘lives were at 火刑／賭ける’ during his escape from Argentina.

He and fellow 最高の，を越す Gear presenters Richard Hammond and James May had to hide under beds as an angry 暴徒 searched their hotel, he said.

He said the ‘silver lining’ to the ordeal was that it gave the show’s Christmas special a better ending than they had planned.?

Yesterday Clarkson, 54, said the Porsche he drove during the special 版 of the BBC モーターing show arrived in Argentina with the H982 FKL plates, but they were 除去するd two days later after a Twitter 使用者 pointed out the problem.

WHAT DOES THE NUMBER PLATE MEAN?

The 議論の的になる number plate is not likely to be a 私的な one and was 大（公）使館員d to the car when the BBC received it for filming, a 広報担当者 for the show said.

The H at the beginning of the plate 代表するs the year in which it was produced - 1991.

< p class="mol-para-with-font">FKL, the last three letters, 代表する where the 乗り物 was first 登録（する）d. In this 事例／患者 it was Maidstone in Kent.

The numbers in between these characters are chosen at 無作為の by the DVLA.

Porsche 確認するd today the car was not bought from them by 生産者s at 最高の，を越す Gear, but from a 私的な owner.

It is possible to 移転 登録 plates to a new 乗り物 for £80.

Plates beginning in NIQ or Q - Northern Ireland 登録（する）d 乗り物s - cannot be transferred.
