We want to be a millionaire! Almost half of Britons say £1m would 始める,決める them up for life - and a third need just £500,000?

A 最近の 調査する has 設立する that around half of people in Britain believe they would never worry about money again if they had £1 million - and a third would need just £500,000 for them to be happy.
A YouGov 投票 asked people to 選ぶ the 量 they believed would 許す them to be comfortably 井戸/弁護士席 off, with 29 per cent 説 £500,000 or more, while 44 per cent thought £1 million of 資産s, not 含むing their house, would 始める,決める them up for life.

Peter York, social commentator and co-創立者 of market 研究 会社/堅い SRU told The Sunday Times that the ‘比較して low’ 量s shows the extent of 地域の 不平等s ? as 豊富な people living in London and the South East might be surprised by the modest 量s.
He said: ‘In the nation 捕まらないで a million is still magical, even if in London an Edwardian 半分 might be 価値(がある) £2 million.’
That 地域の 不平等 has made headlines recently with vastly different 所有物/資産/財産s hitting the market at the same price.
Newsham Grange, a Grade-II 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる)d manor 近づく Northallerton, No rth Yorkshire, was built in 1705 and is 始める,決める in 16-acre grounds and was put on the market for £1 million in September.
For the same price, last month 可能性のある 買い手s could snap up London's first ever £1 million 会議 flat in Chelsea.
On the market for £999,950, the 現在の owner stands to make a 利益(をあげる) of £952,000 after the buying it for £48,000 under the '権利 to buy' 計画/陰謀.
The 投票 also 設立する that of those 調査するd, 32 per cent would continue to work even if they did receive the 量 they thought would make them happy, while just 27 per cent said they would stop working.

Of the largest social grade group, ABC1, 20 per cent 選ぶd the 量 of £1 million to £2 million as the 量 they believe would 保証(人) a comfortable life.
More than half of the 1,941 people 調査するd said they would buy 所有物/資産/財産 if they were given their dream 量 of money ? at 56 per cent.
A その上の 51 per cent said they would spend it on travel and holidays, while 49 per cent said they would 投資する.
However, it was not all sensible 投資 購入(する)s ? 16 per cent said they would spend the money on cars, ヨットs and 私的な 計画(する)s and 13 per cent on 罰金 foods and ワイン.
Around 10 per cent said they would spend their money on 私的な education.
