The party's 2012 条約 was held Aug. 27-30 in Tampa, Florida. Its 大統領の 指名された人, Mitt Romney, lost the 総選挙 to 大統領 Barack Obama.?

Before settling on July for its 会議, the RNC said it could move up it formal 指名するing 過程 by more than two months to June .
