Police 失敗させる／負かす £40m Heathrow 強盗

An 試みる／企てる to steal £40 million-価値（がある） of gold and a "相当な" 量 of money in a （警察の）手入れ，急襲 on a 倉庫／問屋 at Heathrow Airport was 失敗させる／負かすd by police today.

Seven men were 逮捕（する）d but one would-be raider was still on the loose after ハイジャック a 先頭 and 逃げるing, Scotland Yard said.

At about 10am, a ギャング（団） in a white 輸送 先頭 rammed through the shutters of the Swissport 貨物 倉庫／問屋 in Bedfont Road, on the 郊外s of Heathrow. They jumped out of the 先頭 and 脅すd 倉庫／問屋 staff with at least one gun, knives and other 武器s 含むing cudgels.

One man on the run

探偵，刑事 Superintendent Barry Phillips, from the 飛行機で行くing Squad, said: "In 妨げるing this attack, we have 失敗させる／負かすd what would have been one of the biggest 強盗s ever committed in the UK.

"We believe that these men were part of an organised 犯罪の 企業."

He said the area had been under 監視 for a period of weeks, rather than months, but that when the ギャング（団） struck, police wer e ready for them.
